QUOTE(ahchun @ Jul 4 2013, 03:57 PM) if u travel frequently, you roughly know where to slow and when to speed. AES is fix location, ya, AES already know, but who knows they secretly add another one, u know la malingsia, what also can happen.trap see time one and speed trap very hard to say, especially during festive season. got once they record at the ipoh tunnel there and catch cars 50km further. just dun feel worth to take the risk for faster like 30mins to pay them RM300 |

QUOTE(kyleng @ Jul 5 2013, 09:58 AM) That's normal. If you warm up your car then only turn on the a/c it would b less noticeable or none. i wonder if the overheating indicator prompt out, will it be already too late to do anything. E-spec doesn't have temp level meter, it will only prompt the indicator of overheating. You could buy aftermarket obd display if want. |

QUOTE(octop @ Jul 5 2013, 05:02 PM) We share the same thought Yeap, forte still the best bang for bucks car. There were few occasions I could have bought forte.I think the most worthy pkg is the E spec (now only 66k, -3k 1 mth aft my purchase... *******!) I've been aiming for Forte 1.6 all the while ... until I consider the FC. Forte 1.6 SX is underpower (some more wth 17" rim!). Feature wise, Forte won hand downs. I like Almera light body, quiet ride & of course spacy. But the FC, higher installment, and the probability of too much electronics spoil in the future scared me off. So end up with Almera even though the interior sux and it feel like a kosong car inside |

Anyone noticed the petrol cover quite hard to open? Mine 1 pull already, sometimes can't open.
Anyway, only managed half tank and pump full again. Calculate manually and i get 8L/100km or 12.5km/litre. Auto E spec, not yet do first service. 70% city 30% highway, moderate jam. This post has been edited by harrychoo: Jul 8 2013, 12:24 AM |

QUOTE(WYK6170 @ Jul 11 2013, 07:19 PM) I am the one. I manage to achieve that with 80% highway light foot drive. If you can maintain this you can easily exceed more than 700km for full tank. how much litres full tank for almera? not based on the spec coz spec mostly unrealistic, pump full from blink roughly how much litre? My car also have the white color difference between the bodykit and the body. Already complain to TCEAS and they promise to look at it on my next 5K service on the 19 Jul. It also have a lot of paint chipped. ya, my bodykit also got scratches and chipped mark liao, just 2 weeks only. not sure is it becoz of white color. |

QUOTE(leviathian @ Jul 15 2013, 10:11 AM) Hello, I'm getting my almera this Friday. And wondering if there are recommendations of places for good tinting in seberang perai area? Also, what are good tint brands? This is my first car, still low in knowledge of cars... I did mine at ProTint near Bukit Tengah Carrefour there. RM900 and the result quite good. |

QUOTE(WYK6170 @ Jul 18 2013, 08:57 AM) Did anyone notice the rear window will cause the car light behind when shine on you will be scattered like when you look at the sun set above the water with ripple. A bit irritating. Suspect it is caused by the V-Kool tinting. yup, the de-myst heater design is quite thick and it made the light scattered.tinting film amplified the effect |

Reporting my first full tank. Mileage <1000km. Full city drive with moderate jam. Unker style driving.
RM69 or 36.3 liters for 448km. which translate to 12.34km/liter or 8.1liter/100km. seems like not so good either |

QUOTE(shawnwkw87 @ Jul 21 2013, 08:01 PM) Mine is even worse.... wanted to ask the SC to do a tune up for me but they keep saying no time and asked me to make another appointment... I average around 11++ km/l only... I think 11km+/liter shouldn't be very far from mine. Maybe u have more jam or stop & go kind of driving condition. |
