I agree the armrest is quite pricey... but I think it's still worth it... the armrest made a big difference when driving outstation.
*
yeap, is a bit to the high side.
most probably i'll find something <100 if possible.

QUOTE(shawnwkw87 @ Jul 1 2013, 01:38 PM)
how much you get for the autolock? is is brake lock type or speed lock type?? i got quoted RM138 for brake lock.. still thinking wanna install a not... hmm.gif  hmm.gif  hmm.gif
*
not sure about the autolock price yet, most probably <100 if possible.
is speedlock, i think go to certain speed like 25km/h will lock, but i saw some even more advance, if touchwood u got into accident crash with 60km/h speed, it will auto unlock itself for safety purpose. but dunno how much for those type.

Serviced my first 1000km yesterday. Total damage is RM88 only. Waiting time was 1.5 hours as I made appointment. Complained about the vibration noise sound at exhaust. No noise after service but it came back after I drove for about 20mins. This is shitty man...
*
The vibration noise is when the exhaust hit the bodykit?
If yes, i only noticed once when I start my car in the morning last 2 days, the exhaust vibrate a lot, and it hit the bodykit for about 1 minute, then it gone when the engine stabilized.

It's like GRR...GRRR.... and can hear from inside. Try to start the engine, dun drive, let the engine run in P or N and try to accelerate a bit. U will notice it. It seems like most of Almera got this prob.
*
Ok. Later after work i try to do the same see got this problem or not.

Is the problem continuous? Or intermittent? Or only last few minutes?

My mileage is >3k, full tank city can get around 350-380km only... if super jam then can drop to 300km only.... highway can get 420+km per tank... Mostly use BHP.... seems the FC is not very good?? hmm.gif  hmm.gif  hmm.gif

Will it get better after my 5k service? i dun rev my engine hard... usually just smooth acceleration...
*
seems like that was bad.
i not yet complete 1 full tank, but currently I'm getting 130km with 1 bar to 1.5 bar drop

My FC average is around 14.6km/l with 40% city drive and 60% highway. My car also above 3K mileage. Hope it will improve after the 10K service when change to synthetic oil.
*
that FC was very good already, almost same as my myvi manual.
i doubt it can improved much more with practical driving style.

hey guys... i'm considering an almera, but the talk about only 1 coat of paint and the paint easily chipping off sounds quite scary.

also, wondering whether the fact that the seats are not collapsible pose a problem?
*
i noticed the body paint is ok, but the part that easily chipped is the bodykit. so if u are not installing bodykit it should be ok.

and is the paint easily chipped only applied to white?

ya, the seat not foldable might caused problem if u want to carry long stuff, that's why i still keep my myvi.
can use to carry 2meter cabinet from ikea thumbup.gif

That is the main reason i choose this car as I am over 195cm.... there is not much car i can drive comfortably and leave some decent space for the back passenger... The seats that cant fold down is not a problem to me at least.... boot is huge and build quality & NVH is much better than my myvi.... its not a perfect car, it lacks front armrest, no usb input on the stereo, and old school meter (e spec)... but taken into consideration the low maintenance cost of the Almera and reliability of the Sunny and price at 67k.... it was the right choice for me...

All the best to ur car shopping.. cheers smile.gif  smile.gif  smile.gif

QUOTE(adrive @ Jul 3 2013, 08:15 PM)
oh nothing...because im having a headache deciding whether to go for honda city low spec or almera high spec...they're both very close in terms of pricing so i'm looking at everything. Honda's gonna gimme 5 years free labour if i buy it so i would wanna calculate almera's maintenance fee too.

i'm curious...why did you guys choose almera instead of honda? or any other car close this range
*
Like what i mentioned in ur thread, if i got the budget for honda city, i would go for it.
I feel Almera is only worth to buy for low spec, but that's only me.

But to think about it, actually i'm afford to buy city or forte but i dun want to buy them after long consideration.
I don't really like car at the first place (money better spent at investment and property), i just need a sedan (driving myvi) with big boot size and comfort as I travel long distance at least once a month, reliable, cheap maintenance and most importantly as cheap as i can faster finish my installment.

Looks of car be it interior or exterior doesn't interest me (but the E spec meter still very sux la laugh.gif ), a car is still a car for me.
