QUOTE(Pawsitive Enforcer @ Mar 18 2013, 04:02 PM) Had our Almera for 3 months, just finished 2nd round service. So far here are the problems I've encountered (Our Almera is VL spec, no body kit). Hopefully no more problems in the future (Touch wood The air-cond of my car also has the loud sound when activated, so I guess it's a normal thing. 1. Alignment not balanced, causing steering wheel to shake after 90KPH. Found this out on the 1st day of purchase 2. Bearing problem, had high pitch sound after 70KPH. Was more obvious 2 months after purchase 3. Air Con having a loud sound when activated, loudest especially in the morning after car is warmed up. Apparently is normal because Latio is also using the same Air Con system and also has the same loud sounds. Should be nothing to worry about. The only complaint I have is the over-inflated tires when I received my car. The ride was so bouncy and also unstable when driving above 90km/h. But now everything is OK. |

QUOTE(Jemi @ Mar 25 2013, 11:47 PM) It's been said that, Almera have stability issue 100km/h onward, how to overcome this? Change wider tire? You may also want to check the air pressure of the tires. Last time my car was quite unstable when driving >90km/h, later found out that the tires were over-inflated. Now, it's quite stable even when driving at 120km/h, only affected slightly by cross-wind. Added: Anyone add with 'Impul Sport Suspension System'? BTW, my car is fitted with original rims and suspension. |

Today saw 2 cars in the drain at the NSE exits, 1 Toyota Camry at Bangi exit ad 1 Toyota Vios at Kajang exit.
Drive safely especially during rainy days. No matter how many electronic safety devices being put into a car, they won't be able to save you from disaster if you drive like headless chicken. |

QUOTE(kyleng @ Apr 22 2013, 06:20 PM) Not only cosmetic, I think the decision making factor should b "is 1 airbag enough for you? Or you want 2?" Very well said! If you think 1 is enough then get E spec. Many buying E spec add RM 9.5k for full impul tuned package. Another, is the cabin space n foot space an issue for you? If it is then forget about other segment B cars, even Merc C class also couldn't beat Almera in this. But if that's not an issue then you have more choices to consider. Coz I'm tall n in other sedan, the back seat behind me is very uncomfortable; but in almera I could sit behind my driver seat setting comfortably. N Honda's maintenance $ cost a bomb to you. Consumers should consider Total Cost of Ownership (applies to all purchases, car/house/printer/softwares/etc) n not only the purchase price. It's very personal actually, Almera is more like a budget family car with good fuel consumption. If you're talking bout power n driver's car, confirm it's out from the list. Even Preve winning hands down, even if comparing Preve vs City, again that applies if you have no problem with Proton. It's all personal preference, there is no BEST car, ony the car that fits your requirements n budget. All cars are good. All cars are good, and different people has different preference. Just buy the car that suits your needs the most and also within your budget. To those who like to criticize or bash other people for buying the car that he/she thinks is not good or ugly, I only got one thing to say to them - Mind Your Own Business!!! |
