Went to petrol station to check the air pressure of the tyres of my car. Found out that the pressure was >300 kPA. Recommended to put 230/210 kPA for front and rear if 1-3 passengers. They put >300 kPA!!! No wonder my car was so bumpy!

It's not good to over-inflate your tyres. Your car will be bumpy, but more importantly your safety will be compromised. The over-inflated tyres will have less grip as there is less contact surface between the tyre and the road.

QUOTE(advocado @ Feb 16 2013, 02:36 PM) Anybody else thinks Almera is one of the ugliest car out in the market currently? Different people has different view about beauty. You might say your wife is beautiful, but maybe to me she is not. Same goes with my wife. You know what I mean?My feeling is that it's a good car but really ugly both front & back, inside out. If you want to choose a car just based on the look, by all means go ahead. But, we chose Almera because of it's spaciousness, quietness and comfort. And, to me, after putting up the Impul bodykit, it's actually not a bad looking car. |

I felt that it is a nice car with bodykit ... just the matter on personal preferences i tink hehe ...oh ya guys ... i heard that there is a overdrive button on almera ... do u guys noe where it is located at and what is the function? getting my car soon hehehehe - Agree with you 100% Generally speaking, overdrive (OD) is the highest gear in the transmission. Most automatic transmissions have 3 speeds and overdrive (fourth speed). Overdrive allows the engine to operate at a lower rpm for a given road speed. This allows the vehicle to realize better fuel efficiency, and often quieter operation on the highway. When you switch it on, you allow the transmission to shift into overdrive mode after the certain speed is reached. When it is off, the transmission shifting is limited to the lower gears. For normal driving conditions, operation of the overdrive should be enabled. The OD button is located at the right side of the gear lever, you can press it using your thumb. QUOTE(frella @ Feb 17 2013, 07:59 AM) Vios:Pros - better pickup, and...... (can't think of any other point) Cons: Older design, smaller cabin Almera: Pros - bigger cabin, newer design (until the new generation of Vios coming) Cons - slower pickup As for the look, some people said Vios is uglier and others said Almera is uglier. So, I am not going to give any comment on the look as each of us has different preferences. As for quietness, comfort and fuel economy, I think they are about the same. |

QUOTE(abcde90 @ Feb 18 2013, 04:35 PM) The indicator will light on when u press once and off when u press the button again..its on the meter panel. In my humble opinion, there are differences. Let me explain:Got info in ur manual on what is the recommended speed to use ur od button. Personaally i dun feel any difference when overtaking using od ..lebih kurang jer.. If you put the OD on, you need to press the gas pedal harder before the gearbox kicks down. Sometimes, the gearbox will be a bit reluctant to kick-down and it would take 1-2 secs. If you switch off the OD, the kick-down is faster so you can get better pickup for overtaking. |

QUOTE(Oracle9 @ Feb 28 2013, 03:50 PM) Same to me. I only discovered that when back from JB to KL. I stopped at Shell to check the pressure... Yeah, it's quite dangerous if the tyres are over-inflated as the contact surface between the tyres and the road is less. You felt your car floating during high speed because there was less traction.310 because my car is floating like hell until I felt not safe to drive over 110KM/h. Sayang my tyres After setting the air pressure of my tyres to 230, now my car feels more stable during high speed and also not as bumpy as before. QUOTE(kaixastorm @ Mar 7 2013, 01:43 AM) For me, TCAT navi works great, never regret purchased it, but if compare to PAPAGO, lost. Just my neutral opinion. My GPS Navigator came with PAPAGO, and I need to pay RM1.8k in cash to my SA. But, don't ask me which brand it is, cuz I have no idea at all! Just had my 2nd free service done today!
Very impressed by the service of TCM. I called the service centre in Balakong yesterday for reservation and after a short while, I received a sms about the confirmation of reservation. Nice! So far so good with my ride, nothing to complaint about. This post has been edited by ET_Malaysia: Mar 13 2013, 10:39 PM |

QUOTE(wak86 @ Mar 16 2013, 07:40 PM) To all Nissan Almera owners.. I want to ask a question. My Almera was E spec and i plan to change my standard rim 15' to rim 16'. How about the performance and FC of the car if i change the rim. The rim was made from Taiwan.. Can anybody give the feedback In my opinion, it depends on the weight of the rim. If the rim is heavy, it sure will affect the performance and increase the FC. |

QUOTE(SamonFoo @ Mar 16 2013, 11:26 PM) Y my fc so high? ... 10.6l/100km ... bt i see others can simply achieve 6.5/100km .... izzit that i havent consulted the first service yet so the fc is high? Yes, you need to let your car's engine to run-in first. After the proper run-in, you will see the improvement in FC. |

QUOTE(SamonFoo @ Mar 17 2013, 12:55 AM) Reali? Hahaha ... Well, normally would be advised not to exceed 90km/h before 1st service. And, do not over-rev the engine. Oh ya heard that first 1000km driving is very important as it will determine ur efficiency of engine such as fc n performance in later time ... Is there any precaution ? Like dun drive over wat speed n etc? This post has been edited by ET_Malaysia: Mar 17 2013, 02:54 PM |

QUOTE(sfotsy @ Mar 17 2013, 07:10 PM) Well, i agree but for the price you pay for stability and the quality is really diff. I wonder how is the quality of the rim's from Nissan? Thinking to get Nissan Almera. E Spec comes with steel rims with cover, while V and VL Spec come with alloy rims. The quality of alloy rims should be good, I guess. But, if you have the budget, you can always find better and lighter rims. |
