Engine brake means engage lower gear to slow down car ie going downhill where u dun press accelerator.. Engaging lower gear to take corners or spirited drive is different. You are pressing accelerator, thus engine n wheel speed is still high..

QUOTE(Xai-V-iaX @ Nov 18 2012, 03:52 PM) Hehe..why not? But seriusly if u want really superb cornering the spring rate ratio for front n back should be small.. E.g..8frnt 7rear, or even better 8frnt 8 rear.. Then u will reduce understeer a lot.! Its just that not everybody likes the agile n acute handling like that but i love it!But then again the comfort issue will come back into factor...xai if u wanna try just try out 8/8 or 7/7...But slightly to medium soft setting.. I know u will take the corner even fassster n smiling.... Why not ? |

QUOTE(WilliamHoo @ Nov 18 2012, 06:10 PM) lolz... bei nei fat yin jor tim...hei.. lei lou dao sok K!! actually.. massive acceleration same effect to the cvt as massive deceleration.. F = ma Force = Mass (weight) x acceleration (decelartion) engine connect to GB then to driveshaft to wheel.. when u acceleration.. the force created is translat to the wheels .. the GB @ cvt belt will have to take the stress created by the engine to move the 1.4 ton car.. when deceleration . the same effect but in reverse form. so massive acceleration same like engine braking. |

Agree with you on the ratio differential...But then again the comfort issue will come back into factor...xai if u wanna try just try out 8/8 or 7/7...But slightly to medium soft setting.. I know u will take the corner even fassster n smiling.... Why not ? 7/6 is what I have on mind BUT not so fast....I wanna really try the 7/5 setup first prior to changing the spring rates.... |
