Treat ur cvt belt with care... its after all a rubberband. You can use paddle shifts but try do not use it for 'engine braking'.. if wheel spinning faster than engine, the rubberband will suddenly stretch... There is a protection built in if case you accidentally try to downshift to a very low gear when crusing at high speed, it will emit a warning beep and will not downshift.

Vice versa if u try to turbo charge ur engine, a sudden boost of torque from the engine will snap the belt (like what u see in the pic, the one in that container is the belt and its metal cuffs). Our local 'racing' workshop has blown at least 2 cvt gb in their quest to turbo charge a 2.0cvt. Latest I hear is someone still trying to install a very low boost turbo (but whats the point?).

ckk, the sound if only appear if kena water is quite likely the bushing grease mixed with water will create such metal to metal sound like what some others suggest. Its like that notorious waja link that squeeks when it fails.

bro, buy other color and spray lo... last time like my car, also cannot found same color one, red color very rare to see it on sale, usually white or black... cause people who usually go for lancer or evo X conversion will choose this 2 color.

while waiting for my car being released next month, i have some questions regarding inspira....

mainly my questions are regarding warranty...is my warranty void if:
1) i wanna mod ice such as changing audio system(adding subwoofer & amp)
2) add bodykit such as r3 since mine doesnt have any, or paling extreme convert to lancer/evo bodykit?
3) change larger sport rims
4) adding auto-flip side mirrors
5) reverse camera with lcd screen at rear view mirror like forte (i've read somewhere a guy add this for rm950 in his inspira)
6) remap ecu for better performance & auto-lock key features
7) service my car at other bengkel besides proton SCs

hopefully all of lyn inspira owners can enlighten me and give several tips when i already own this car...thanks!

U must know ur rpm rev........
Means when u r cruise 150kph, don't sudden paddle low gear to3rd or 2nd gear...
Go smooth ly reduce step by step with brake.....

Better choice is change a better brake pad, use brake better than Daytona style....

ya..I have strutbar with stock tires..later if i find 8/6 is not stiff enough to my liking..I go for 9 7 leh..haha...just kidding...

my setup, I wanna make the ride height lower a bit than current stance because I believe it will make the car more stable than current height...hehehe

Cvt gb - refrain downshifting to reduce car speed, be it using paddle or gear knob. The brake pads are way cheaper than replacing a snapped cvt belt. Even for mt, u r still wearing out clutch plate but not at an  alarming rate.
