Why can't you imagine? It's all depending. You can't judge by that. Like food in KL are more expensive and in Kuching food are cheaper. There are certain product that is cheaper and more expensive in different location.

On Mudah.my, resale value is high. My cousin sold his CSL Mi410 for RM450 on Mudah.my, and he bought it for RM430.

Everything is better to sell online LOL.

I just use my Ace for calling/whatsapp-ing/messaging , and it actually fit my needs, but what i'm seeking for aren't there. I don't know what i'm actually finding too, but i just want a phone that is smooth. That serve me well.

And Obviously, nowadays , technology keep upgrading , we can't keep following the changes in mobile phones. There always an end for everything same to me, i guess Mercury will be my last stop of my phone until it die itself. After that , maybe there is a phone that doesn't grab in our phone, maybe the simcard is in our mind.

Smartphone tiers has been upgrading day by day. Things change people changes, we changes because of the surrounding.

Like my friends holding iphone 5, iphone 4s , note 2, s3 showing off infront of me, i guess u know the feel. Maybe i'm jealous but just you know the feeling feel sucks. They play the game your phone can't support. Kinda feel fu"ked up. aren't? 

Where ur cousin bought the phone? Is he in KL?

Good morning to all Mercury users, or forumer who are viewing this post currently.

I just want to share some of my experiences using this phone. All i can say is superb. The phone show no lags at all. Just regarding the charging problem , it's currently solve due to the shop gave me the wrong charger. He gave me the 300mAh output charger instead of the 800mAh charger. This phone is really good in term of price . Imagine with this spec , in the brand of "Samsung" it would more or less cost you RM800-RM1000. (No Offence - Just stating what i thought it will be or maybe a fact) If the ram is 1GB i guess this phone would be a great phone comparing to other dual core phone in the market. Although, it has only 512MB ram . It's not that bad. Technology moving forward everyday. Things change day by day , we can't follow the flow of technology in mobile innovation these days.

To all who are still doubting maybe you want to grab this phone or not. (If you are a budget buyer like me)
I would highly recommend you to grab this phone. In the price of RM600-RM700 what phone can you buy in the brand of Samsung,Sony , ETC.

Just to say the phone is superb. Currently waiting for a new set due to my charger and also software problem of the keyboard.

8GB - no
16GB - acceptable
32GB - perfect

i have phone with 8gb rom and a tablet with 16gb rom, but the way they implement is kinda different.

first the 8gb one, which implement like most androids in the market right now. 2GB for apps only and 4GB for the rest of the files. i find this not enough so i have another 16gb microsd card plugged in, which is a big help (my mp3 file need to be at least 320kbps).

second the 16gb one, which implement the nexus way of storage - all in one. you get full 14++gb of storage, and no microsd card slot. this is acceptable but there is one time i have to decide which game to uninstall due to running out of storage space.

my take? 32GB w/o microSD slot. microsd gives the freedom of how many storage you want but the read/write performance just wouldn't cut it. even with sandisk ultra class 10 still not match with the speed of internal storage. i don't need that much storage on phone, because if i want to store a lot of stuff i store them in my desktop. the phone's battery life was like average 8 hour with average usage, and i don't think i can consume content more than 32gb within that 8 hour time.

Cranky currently still considering might as well as just grab a new set of mercury. The phone really nice in term of my usage. Full charge this morning around 8AM unplug. Listen to some music , sms , and call currently still got 79%    The battery life really superb !

Just the phone is slightly too big for me

If fellow forumers would like to know about durability, this phone seems ok for me. What i mean by OK is from the following situation:

I freely gave this phone to my 2 yr old son to play with the phone, he dropped the phone while walking multiple times (i think almost 10 times) but no cracks, no phone restarting or no any issues whatsoever.

By having the confidence in its durability, i even demo to my friends by purposely dropping the phone in front of them from seating on a chair position level (but backcover landed on the ground first). No problem at all.

   

By the way, my phone is in its original state without any cover

yeah i agree with you. Most of the time, my son dropped it on the carpet. But the one i demo to my friend i dropped on tiles haha.

Anyway, its not that high though. I'm just sharing so that ppl know that this so called cheap china phone that some people trying so hard to convince us not to buy is NOT THAT BAD AT ALL. Go on and empty your pockets if you want to buy those expensive branded phone for features that sometimes is just not needed for some of us here. No one is forcing how you should waste your money in to. Your choice.

ps: i got my mi501 for rm600 (from the Lelong seller) bcoz its still new and just announced at that time and people still doubt its capabilities. But now the price up a bit lar.
