A pouch will make the phone thick and bulky so normally I don't use cover for all my phones. I will share my "spray work" if it is not ugly smile.gif

Woah. Do share with us bro. 1st user with custom deco on back cover :-D

Yes, there is a noticeable difference. You can actually see the difference when your scroll between your homescreens on the Stealth and the Mercury. Most games run faster on the Mi501, and the transition when you open up apps is a lot more smoother on the Mercury. Also, this is my Mi501 quadrant score.

[attachmentid=3177577]

Also, the Antutu score seems to have skyrocketed somehow.

[attachmentid=3177610]

So I think the Mercury dominates the Stealth, except in  camera.
*
Wow.. Cranky how do u get such score?

Bro, When the keyboard on. Just slide the label 'abc' on the spacebar to the left. That sure will do

I got my phone yesterday. Everything looks good including the red back cover. I am going to share my experience with whoever dislike the red and intended to spray it with another colour.
I went to hobby shop for a RM27 matelic black spray which is meant for plastic surface. Happily sprayed it and drid it up with fan. Then nightmare begins. The new paint resolves part of the original paint. I started to see "crack" lines. After that I peel off the black pain and I can see the red cracking lines. I respray again, and I can see more crack lines.
The conclusion so far is that don't try to spray it unless you know how to remove the original paint and sand the surface nicely before you can spray a new layer. The right way to go is definitely buying a porch to cover up the red.

What a brave attempt bro.. shocking.gif

Pardon me,

but isn't stealth 2 is single sim? If so, Mercury still win the battle for me. Dual core 1.2 GHz with dual sim standby. FTW!

QUOTE(Cranky guy @ Dec 4 2012, 12:00 AM)
Stealth 2 is dual sim, but it is more like single sim because the other sim slot is filled by a digi sim card which will void your warranty if removed. Many people complained about that, I don't know why Ninetology decided to keep it. Plus, they made it worse by allowing 3G to only one sim slot, and that is the slot covered by the Digi seal.
*
QUOTE(JJKTP @ Dec 4 2012, 12:57 AM)
So if we buy Stealth 2, we will stuck with that DiGi SIM, right? If it is then this company deserve to be boycotted. I
believe that people go for Android partly because of freedom, but this company want to restrict people in some other ways.

It will be a win win for them if people buy the phone as DiGi will get a new customer. Should the user later decide to change SIM, then it is a win for Ninetology as they will be freed from having to cover the warranty.

This company really deserve a boycott.
*
Gosh! That pain in the ass bro.. I thought that this time they can stand by their own without any related with some kind of special intimate bonding such 'U move me and its end! or till death do us part' thingy with DiGi. That's one of the reason I chose CSL over Ninetology.

Pfft

Wow, that was one heck of a journey. Actually, I got it
from the Digi Shop in the same picture tongue.gif.
Lolx! I thought the shop in the pic coz it is the same name as the DiGi shop. Plus the digi shop seems not displaying any CSL model. doh.gif So I assume not even cover they're selling.

syncomp..is the pouch just nice or big for u?u keep the phone in ur pocket or bag?
*
The pouch is just nice. It fit my pocket. And of course its look bigger if we compared with Super price Samsung S3 + Super hard-in-ass Expensive Samsung Original thin pouch cover. (Mine also S3 look-alike thumbup.gif) But I am more comfortable to hold it with hand I guess. icon_rolleyes.gif

QUOTE(wkchia @ Dec 17 2012, 10:35 PM)
infact its true, its quite hard to find csl phone. Many shops with csl signboard do not sell csl phone. There are something wrong with its distribution. Cranky do know what happen?
*
No offence but if u see my journey of finding pouch, I am searching it guided by CSL Where-To-Buy page but seems some of the shop are not selling CSL product rclxub.gif

I noticed someone said he was previously using Sensation XE and now using this Mercury.  Since the XE has qHD reso and higher PPI, does the Mercury screen seem bad in comparison?  Or still ok?
*
Previously I am using Sensation XE. Well, it's obvious if we compared in terms of screen of course CSL is far beaten by HTC. Well, general TFT screen vs HD, what do u expect right. But still the screen is acceptable. My intention is to get a dual sim phone. As long as other features is great to go I am already satisfied!

+1, bro. Everyone should also keep in mind that these phones are targeting different categories and have price tags. The XE is over RM1000 and is for people who want a big brand phone with power and a better display. Mercury is only RM600-720, and it is for people with a low budget, but need a dual sim, and good specs so they don't  feel left out in the sea of high spec phones.
*
Yerp! For me With that price, what it can gave is already superb! Famous dual core phone like HTC & Samsung still RM 1000+, while this phone cost much lower. And if u smart enuff, u can plan ahead which telco u wanna use for internet and the telco that offer the lowest rate SMS/call. That is a double saving for a long term if u noe what I mean (By now u should know comparison's of telco rate brows.gif )

QUOTE(tcsee @ Dec 18 2012, 04:51 PM)
cranky and all, is the csl pouch the only cover available for mi501?
Any other covers that work with it?
i'm currently using the csl pouch, but to me personally, it's kind of thick (both cover layers add up is as thick as the mi501 phone smile.gif)
*
One of the shop that I went said Mi501 could fit in Galaxy Note casing/cover. But of course there will be some adjustment to be made.

*
Owh.. Sry not to mention. It's Jelly case what I meant. I tested it out (actually the seller forced me to test out after I pull a long face not getting my pouch). It fit. Really fit. But I don't like it. U may tested it out by yourself. Some of her customer won't mind using Gnote case << That's what she said

From the pic of the back of G. Note and Mercury, the only difference is the flash position. Mercury flash is at the bottom of the cam, as the Note flash is on the side of cam.

The speaker position, volume and power switches are all located at about the same position for both hp.
*
Actually it's kinda ackward for me when I try on the jelly case. You see, Gnote camera is square shape. Our camera is round shape. So when square hole case combined with round camera I feel it abit ugly. U guys get the picture

I have been looking for an affordable dual sim phone and have been following this thread ... I would never have considered the CSL if not for you guys ... unfortunately now I am not sure where I can buy it .. was checking out Lelong .. most places are out of stock.

Some places quoted RM799.  So any suggestions ?  or buy from CSL store?

I am staying in Shah Alam.
*
You can try search at Plaza Alam Sentral or go directly to the CSL HQ at glenmarie. But I do encourage you to buy it on9 coz u can get it with lower price. Of coz, shopping online always cheaper.
