if using samsung kies, pc odin or ota then need
if use mobile odin no need

just got my s3 and i love this phone.
need some help on this 2 issues:

1. group messaging. I already tagged a few contact under a certain group but when i want to send out an sms blast to all the people in the group it will only limit me to 10 names

2. whatever picture I share with any contact on whatsapp is also downloaded and stored in my whatsapp image folder. So i end up having duplicate pictures. Any idea on how to solve this?

1. i think samsung find it no reason to include unlimited amount of recipients. so they limit it to 10.

1. Try some other stock SMS replacement app like Handcent SMS or ChompSMS.
Disclaimer, I never tried them as I prefer stock

2. Whatsapp will download images when you view them (or if you set autodownload). If you dont want to see it in the SIII gallery - just create a .nomedia file in the directory "/storage/sdcard0/WhatsApp/Media/WhatsApp Images"

My stock messaging suddenly corrupted! Today whole day I just open chrome, whasapp and facebook. Nvr touch messaging at all. Just now need sms ppl, open messaging, sms inside missing, then jump out and fc. Tried restore tb, but tb stated fail restore!

Hey guys, just wanna check with you all regarding some minor hardware details of the S3.

The other day my phone dropped into the loo + floor. Not sure this has caused the issue im about to mention.

The issue is: When i tap the screen harder, with much force than usual. The top part of the screen (near the earpiece) has some very very light clicking sound. But towards the bottom, its tight. So would just like to check whether this is a design flaw or my fault.

volume cannot. power can.
i am using s2 tho, but if its custom rom, its mostly the same build. CM10 or AOSP. so it will work.
