QUOTE(tigerporc @ Nov 14 2012, 08:24 PM) Really too bad. Why don't you try send for warranty first? As if can fixed, then no need send for warranty, warranty is my last choice.Repartitioning is only last resort if nothing else works; and I only know from what I have read as never tried before. From ODIN, possibly repartition and flashing PDA, Phone, CSC may work (need to do all at the same time) For my pit.bin file, just rename it to SIII.pit or something. I try your pit, also not working. QUOTE(JC_jun @ Dec 3 2012, 05:23 PM) bear in mind that increasing the charging rate will shorten the battery life span. you need to make a balance between charging speed or battery life span. Mine also, it was half dead on 14/November/2012 after I wake up from the phone plug charging. It just stuck at Samsung logo forever and I cannot re-flash anything in or even re-partition it.Added on December 3, 2012, 5:29 pm bro, you are 1 of the unlucky owner check this xda thread, a lot of international owner had their phone suddenly dead http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1993044 a lot of them were charging overnight and next morning phone dead, and right before the phone dead they saw LED blinking blue but screen wont turn on regardless of any button pressed. once removed battery then they couldnt turn on the phone anymore. some of the users saying their phone act weird, slow, lag before the phone dead, did you overcome any of these symptoms? most of the dead phone were running Jelly bean 4.1.1 or stock based custom rom (like omega wanan or ARHD), but there were also some reported running on ICS or AOSP rom, so it seems not related to rom. a lot dead phone were actually first batch phone with the sticker stating "Made by Samsung" do you mind to check where did your phone made from? take off the battery, check whats written on the sticker. i am sorry for your lost.. I just get it back yesterday (3/December/2012). I am happy getting back yesterday as today was my birthday. |

QUOTE(JC_jun @ Dec 4 2012, 10:55 AM) hmm, maybe that SC has ex-stock to swap for you. That was lucky, I dunno, as I received no stock, need wait stock arrived, and mine was not 100% faulty, it still can on, just stuck at boot logo.in oversea, there is a guy had a 16GB faulty, and because board out of stock, SC replace him with a 32GB board. he is so lucky Added on December 4, 2012, 11:23 am QUOTE(JC_jun @ Dec 4 2012, 10:56 AM) so your phone was the first batch as well? was it running jelly bean 4.1.1? are you charging using original charger? Yup, my phone was 1st batch, I was using original charges and over charging every night until 14/Nov it half dead. Now it is back with stock Jelly Bean 4.1.1This post has been edited by Andrewtst: Dec 4 2012, 11:24 AM |

QUOTE(JC_jun @ Dec 4 2012, 11:45 AM) touch wood touch wood. Stuck at the Samsung Logo.looking at the first call seems to be first batch but hard to tell, because the problem randomly happened and nobody sure if it only affected first batch. suspect reason for motherboard issue # jelly bean (but there were also somebody using ICS or AOSP rom ended up dead) # overcharge (some phone dead not because of charging) # original samsung s3 charger (most of the user in XDa claimed that they were using only samsung original s3 charger all the while and ended up with motherboard dead) Added on December 4, 2012, 11:46 am stuck at the samsing i9300 logo or the samsung animation? normal sequence is i9300 samsung logo out first then samsung animation out second Added on December 4, 2012, 12:29 pm QUOTE(FallenOut @ Dec 4 2012, 12:25 PM) So poor, yours one also happening. QUOTE(JC_jun @ Dec 4 2012, 03:12 PM) i dont think is LED notification causing the sudden death.. just avoid overcharge your phone. My binary status always 0 but my ROM is show as custom, this part I got no chances to fix it before it break.Added on December 4, 2012, 3:15 pm thanks for the clarification. I am now running CM10, so after samsung logo it will go to CM animation. my binary status is now cleared to 0, just in case if the phone half brick.. Now I am using stock, no root back yet, kind of lazy root for now. Haha! |
