Take about rm200 (price of a mass gainer, more or less), divide it by 30.

Now use that amount to buy meat everyday of the week. Eat the meat. Don't reduce what you're already eating atm.

Come back in a month.

Is your diet at least 90% on track?
Do you know roughly your BMR and TDEE?
Do you know how many calories your eating a day?
Have you estimated a large enough surplus to gain weight and size?
Estimated necessary macros?

Until you have all this figured out with FOOD, dont waste $$$ on supplements.

Thats an estimate and did he mean to maintain or gain? There are many many calculators you can find on google that will give you estimates according to your age, gender, height and weight.

So google it. cool2.gif

Eating 'alot' doesn't mean jack. Too many come here saying they 'eat sooooooo much' but when they outline what they eat it is barely enough for a 12 year old girl because it consists of 3 small meals and a couple of tiny snack. doh.gif

Start learning to estimate calories. If you cant be bothered then *shrugs* Go ahead and waste your money on supplements on stuff but know that it is all a waste if you dont know what your doing.

Its like driving off somewhere with a destination in mind but with no idea which direction to drive in and you have no map. Just plain silly whistling.gif

Tbh, I have no idea what cals I need and I don't count cals as well..

I just roughly estimate how much I need per day and let it go like that. So long mypoundages don't drop and I see a diff in my progress pics I will continue what I did.
If not, adjust.

At least you sort of keep track by estimating and knowing what foods you eat so you can adjust accordingly. You understand the importance of eating enough and getting sufficient macros (protein!) for results and the importance of adjusting your eating as you change your goals (cut/bulk/lean bulk/etc).

If people don't track at least a little it will just end up being needlessly frustrating so easier to tell them to understand basics of calories. After a few weeks, becomes easy to estimate (unless you type A personality and everything must be just right rclxub.gif ).

Truth! I guess I do that haha. Could never get the hang of putting numbers in my meals though lol.

Well for beginners imo can just begin by eating right. Estimating cals, with or without numbers comes naturally after a while

conclusion is that you don't need to spend big bucks on supplements.

just have an extra helping of whatever it is you're eating for breakfast, lunch and dinner and add on the following foods which will help you meet/exceed your daily caloric needs:

1 cup almonds
1L fresh/full/chocolate milk
4 tbsp natural/regular peanut butter

does this make sense to you?

Here is a tip... dont be fussy on what you eating..bulking dont have to be clean especially for naturally skinny people. What food you like to eat? Ramly burger? Ice cream? KFC? Just eat what YOU like to eat. Eat as much as you like...

because the key to successful bulking for skinny people is to increase the appetite first......after you have gain a decent amount of mass you can start to learn to incorporate healthier foods..

And learn to count calories. There are apps u can install on ur phone fr that.

yes, he/she can opt to split them into smaller meals but if there are constraints such as time/work place policies, there may be difficulties in doing so.

my suggestion would be, eat them whenever convenient but make sure they are eaten. less worrying and more eating i would say.

ola, dear TS.

My friend (Nizam) who was trying to gain weight (mass not fat!), just before raya aidilfitri(around end of july), he was 58kg?(surely not 60kg). We decided that it was best for him to take in mass gainers, since he was already eating A LOT of food, (5 times/day main meals still no gains).

I took him to a supplement shop in Klang and bought him (reimbursed ofcourse) a Labrada Lean Mass gainer. It lasts around a month, 2 scoops per serving 2/3 times a day depends on whether he trains or not.

*2 TONGS of Labrada and 1 TONG of BSN TRUE MASS(<-which I dont recommend) LATER*

Now as of November, he is now 71kg. And have decided to stop gaining weight as he will be entering an MMA tournament and wishes to be a light weight (featherweight?) class.
