my vote goes to kaspersky anti-hacker, less memory consume and good detection rate.

It depends , which type Firewall

Are you talking about Software or Hardware Firewall. Each Firewall (software or hardware) do have their own pros and cons

Read here for more information :-

http://www.testmyfirewall.com/hardware-firewall.asp

http://www.windowsnetworking.com/articles_...a_Firewall.html

http://reviews.cnet.com/5208-10150-0.html?...essageID=562592 -

I think if you're having a debate on Software Firewall vs Hardware Firewall , then this thread should belong in the Networking Section

Examples :-

Software Firewall : Zone Alarm , iptables (On UNIX-alike OS)
Hardware Firewall : Routers , NAT ,etc (ADSL Modem is not a hardware firewall , unless its running in NAT/Router Mode)

Zone Alarm should be a good choice for software entry-level firewall. Easy to use ...

For those who are opting for higher level of customization and protection, it may not serve you well.

Not using any firewall now after formatted and installed a fresh copy of XP SP2. Lazy ... tongue.gif

The statistic on the number of attempted intrusions, the log files and any unusual behaviour in your OS. Of course, an amateur or average computer user might not be able to do the analysis.
