Hi guys. Anyone been to the EON HQ in Glenmarie? My car will be due for the 1st service soon in about 9 days. Should I go to SOE or EON HQ? I'll be sending my car for some complaints aside from the usual oil change. Any recommendation? By the way I went for a full body coatng at Sierra Glow and the result is sweet as. Love it, money well spent.
*
how much does it cost to do at Sierra Glow?

Hey guys, been a while since i read this thread.. anyway, what's the latest chasis number now? and still got those minor problems for new owners? i.e. wind noise, car boot auto open, etc???

Hey guys, I'm buying Preve this month and I wanna ask about the offer given by Proton. I called and confirm about the 3years free service / RM 2000 rebate.

If 3years it is 3years/100,000km free service + labor + part which ever comes first.
Or the sales advisor gives me RM 5500 but without 3years free service..
If I were to choose the 3years free service, the SA will give me RM3,5k rebate also. So which is better?

RM5500 rebate without any free service OR
RM3500 + 3years/100,000km free service which ever comes first.?
*
The free service, includes all service? Major service, etc?

QUOTE(CarFan @ Dec 7 2012, 11:28 AM)
Hi, I was asked by my SA to service the car at 1K, 10K and every interval of 10K. Mine is CFE. Is that correct initerval or should we be servicing every 5K? If 10K, what engine oil do you guys recommend.

Also, I see everyone commenting to go to COSE to do ECU/TCU updates. What's COSE and where's the location please. Sorry, am new to this smile.gif Tq.
*
if 10k interval, definitely must use fully synthetic.

from what i know, a new car shud service 1k, 5k, 10k.. then depends on carmaker's recommendation.

COSE is centre of service exllence?? for e.g. proton mutiara damansara, hicom, setapak?

if only the 2.2L can be raised to 2.4 or 2.5L, then it can be a good contender in the D-segment.

The Malaysian market still have strong affection towards displacement afterall.

too bad the Y series engine got cancelled though. The Campro, IMO is very very old already. sad.gif
*
somehow, campro engine has that unique sound right? light jet sound. hehe..

anyway, never knew petronas make engines.. thot they only supply fuel to the F1 team.

looks great! how much is sierra glow? is there only one type of service offered, or there are different levels of sierra glow like how window tinting works(higher heat rejection=more expensive)?

QUOTE(JJTam @ Dec 11 2012, 02:19 PM)
It costs RM 700 for a full body glass coating. The material used was silica, by the way it includes head lamp, tail lamp, wiper arm, basically the whole exterior of your car. As for tinting, I went for Smoke 20, which means VLT 20%. The darker the tint the more expensive it is. The heat rejection was superb now, front tint was Raybarrier (same as our standard rear windscreen tint) with heat rejection up to 97% compared to the lauya standard tint which has a heat rejection rating of some what 80% only. The reason why I chose EcoTint was because, they can offer me warranty for both layers of tinting, although I am paying a little bit extra, but I certainly feel that it's worth it.
*
so, there's only one type of coating?? is there another one which is diff price (more exp or cheaper)?

QUOTE(timetravelller @ Dec 11 2012, 03:06 PM)
what is the purpose of glass coating? because of it's white and the stain will stick easily?
*
bcos it will stay glossy for longer. u wont hv to wax anymore after this for the next 5 yrs.
