Does anyone here know if Preve Fire Red production in July 2012 is it will cause a problematic? Please help me, suddenly my SA tell me that the Fire Red is an old stock which is production in July 2012.. any opinion from master and sifu here?

i always turn led light on whenever i drive, didnt like the auto light function.

true, got to switch on headlight. during heavy rains will on fog light too.

3 months passed already, a simple thing cannot be done...my ecotint. 

The ICare person in charge said he can't do anything about my case, and asked to contact service centre...WTF after 3 months only tell me all these rubbish.  I just reported to NCCC, not sure if they can help.

Just got a call from Proton dealership that i ordered my preve from. Ordered 2 weeks ago, said if loan approved, can come within 4-5 days. Loan approved on 4th day, so expected arrival the next week only. Whole week past, no update or news on when the car will be available. only just now i got a call from the salesperson, red colour preve will only be produced next year, so expected arrival of the car will be 3rd week of Jan 2013. WTF.
i is sad. 

Thats the problem, i really need the car. If waiting time is 2 weeks into jan 2013, i can make it. But i just called icare, they said 1-2 months. Wahhh. 2 months wayyy too long man.
Rebates i got was the standard 2k discount only, nothing more. Can i bargain for more? Sales person actualy said can get red, but now situation changed and it took 2 plus weeks to inform me, can i ask for freebies etc for " compensation"? Lol

I think the everything must be done before 2013. Meaning register your car with the plate number in 2012 since the discounts are made because of resale value issue. You see, for example, every cars that are made on 2012 will have a drop of their value in every coming years. Even if the car is produced on 31/12/2012, their price will drop on 1/1/2013. That's what i understand la.

In your case the red preve will be produced on 2013 hence the discount for 2012 cars is not applicable.

Btw, anyone from ipoh that knows any shops that do rim painting job?

Im pretty sure that's just a normal discount. Some places offered up to 5k discount. Lol

Some opinion after driving the Preve CFE for few weeks, the engine quite willing, love the handling, the front very stiff, so it turns in very well. Ride quality is quite "continental", abit hard but not stiff enough to be jarring. The CVT feels abit funny since it masks your speed really well, sometimes I speed accidentally since the engine sounds unstressed. Not sure the car has the remapped ECU or not since it is not my personal car. The FC is sort of terrible in city drive, 7km/L only but it includes some "testing sessions conducted in high speeds".

Unfortunately I did encounter some Proton signature build quality, which means that the front driver window has a funny sound when used in a hot day, The Head unit/GPS keeps ejecting and then pull the CD back in continuosly, slightly uneven panel gaps, and flimsy plastics.

Besides, anyone thinks the seats are mounted quite high in the car? I drive with the driver seat at its lowest position and it still feels auite lofty. The front passenger seat is even higher, like sitting in a MPV (maybe cause of the Exora platform?).

oh my, does this mean if we put on the leather cover, it will block the side airbag too?

just got the car early of this month (exec Manual). Found some problems in my car:
1. Wind noise when drive more than 60Km at the left rear windows (SC change
some kind of rubber but the noise still there but less. SC told me
for my Preve, they receive a memo need to change all the four power windows
regulator. No stock, so need to wait for them to order. After change this, then
SC will check again whether the little wind noise can dissapear.)
2. Helicopter sound when braking (need to change both front disc brake, need
to wait also coz no stock)
3. The Airbag Passenger indicator light sometimes appear (SC fix it but then
drive for few days, indicator light sometime will appear again, sianz)

actually found some problems this few days
1. when at night, raining, my 4 windows will getting blur and sometimes my windscreen
also getting blur easily, need to use viper regularly to clear up this blur. dont
is it bcoz of power window regulator problem that got wind flow inside the car
making it easy to getting blur.

i did find that that clutch pedal for Preve very hard (previously drive Wira and
Waja, clucth pedal is quite ok and soft) and the pickup during first gear to third gear really slow.
i feel the hardness really unacceptable. when i getting the car, the clutch position quite very high (need to press alot then the car will move, so i ask them to lower the clutch). and also the clutch pedal, brake
and gear know also feel vibrate. Told SC, there say cannot do anything, is like that (standard
answer from SC). already drive for 3 weeks, really this clutch hardness really
annoying me. Anyone there can recommend what i need to do to softhen my clutch
hardnes. actually i not mind spending 1-2K to change to new clutch (even though the
car still under warranty). If i change to new clutch, did it void warranty? any
type of clutch to recommend?

if i know preve manual got clutch hardness and slow pickup, rather spend 10K+ to get the turbo CFE. even i think better get the Exec Auto rather than manual. really regretted....

I bet most of the exec/manual owners only tested the premium version as they don't have a test drive unit for exec model.

I'm thinking of putting on bodykit on my black preve. SA called me i may get it the day after tomorrow. any recommendation of a nice bodykit? i've seen a few types of bodykit on the net; RSR, sportivo, rieger.. or should i wait for R3 bodykit?

im using premium CFE..

no regret only if P1 packs CFE Preve with leather seat and nice rear lamp will me make jump cheerfulness
