Bro, what pants you wear to work sampai driver seat berbulu eh? tongue.gif

Anyway, the seat quality of Preve is not really good.
*
Of course work pant.. Hehe.. No Jeans or Khakis whatsoever but still... Maybe because I drove it alot on weekend?? sweat.gif

Unfortunately, gotta agree with u on that though. See/felt/sat on more comfortable seat before.

i read mat79 post earlier. yeah due to cost cutting they take out leather seats.

perhaps once warranty period over, will get synthetic leather to have that leather feel, then after 7yrs, buy new car lor.

so proton opt for fabric seats claim to be water repellent, and better quality, not true lor, somemore got sound from the backrest.

Added on November 21, 2012, 11:56 am

ceh, got bluffed lor, lol.

i everyday log on myeg to check for summons... hahaha... till now no saman yet sweat.gif
*
As they said, "be careful of what u wish for.." Ahahaha laugh.gif

Me as well actually.. hehe.. Touchwood nothing will catch my White Knight in the cam! hehe

QUOTE(mat79 @ Nov 21 2012, 01:21 PM)
hi all, about the seat, i think they will checked back with the supplier 1st on the furring probs, yup, its water repellant, but not water resistance. N its cheaper than leather wrap, but not as cheap as normal proton fabric seat. But of course, one can opt for higher grade, but hence cost is on another note. U can warp its with leather, just make sure the 3rd party shops know how to handle the side airbags stiching.

On tcu/ecu update, make it more powerful, doesnt make it thirstier, the most important part is to cntrl ur right foot, make it lighter than previous input coz the power is already there.

On rattling part, will check it later. By, hve job to do.
*
Thanks bro mat79 for ever informative update. Will be waiting for your insight for the rattling dashboard though i dont have it.

QUOTE(stargate8 @ Nov 21 2012, 01:33 PM)
hmm.gif i think i never complaint sluggish, to me its already adequately powerful

"balance is the way of the force" may the force be with you Dares.

congratz on getting ford focus, very good looking car, my colleague she also drives that.
*
Me never complaint as well. Just really afraid it will cap the top speed as sometime i do travel from KL to Terengganu..

blink.gif He already got the 'conti' force tongue.gif with him stargate, its Ford Fiesta btw. hehehe

what means side airbag stitching?
thought the side air bag from the seat belt height adjuster of the pillar?
*
Like bro GK Lai said, the side airbag is on ur seat. YES, i spelled it correctly. SEAT. hehehe

Brother Dhuang, you drive so fast, not afraid of saman? shocking.gif
Have any link to English explanation for this product? Sorry~  blush.gif
EDIT: Opps! Found it, thanks anyway!  icon_rolleyes.gif

Side air bags are inside the front seat, shoulder area.  smile.gif
*
Tested 2 times already. Max speed whenever I can and slowed down to speed limit whenever HU said there's a camera/speed trap ahead. So far thank God it works for me. Hehehe tongue.gif

Of course afraid of summons. Better i spend my money RM300 or RM150 on buying new external than giving it to them.. hehe biggrin.gif

OIC, because I seldom on highway so not sure if the alert are accurate, that's why I always stick to 110km/h... Yup! With that amount of money, we can do a lot of things.

Let me count it a bit.. U, Jerie, are the lord of siths. Me, Joke Lord only.. (Referring to my avatar..) tongue.gif Ahahaha laugh.gif

Unfortunately bro, with this preve a 4 hours journey felt so looooooooong with that 110 km/h... I'm easily tempted with speed unfortunately.. If ppl with Audio peculiarity is called Audiophile, can I be called Speedophile? sweat.gif

Yup, external hardisk, power bank, jawbone, bla bla bla...

Yes I can understand, your travel journey is quite long, I also drive fast occasional, just a few second, I know this is potong stim, but don't have that much money to pay summons ler...  laugh.gif
My friend who used to drive from Penang to JB, most of the time driving at 140-160km/h, he said with the implement of AES, it going to take 10 hours to reach JB, better book cheap air ticket.  doh.gif

Regarding Preve, actually my seat also berbulu here and there, and the spring inside the seat also making noise, this I have to agreed the seat in our Preve are quite low in quality.  sad.gif
I wonder if anyone experience rain water drip inside while driving on heavy rain? Went to SC to fix this twice already, but the leak still there, they need how many complains only willing to maybe replace the door frame rubber (I can clearly see it out of shape)?
The shop who do this should know how to deal with it.
I saw someone done that (leather seat) on the Internet, but can't remember where, sorry!  tongue.gif
*
Include me as well bro. Me oso got no extra money actually.. Hehehe.. sweat.gif

Spring inside the seat? shocking.gif That's kinda serious too bro. Not only it's furring but the spring inside is also singing? Damn..

If the door frame rubber is like what u said (that it's not properly installed) it's a no brainer thing to have it change.. Damn, thought only CoSE sucks..Now in Penang oso..

QUOTE(maverickng @ Nov 21 2012, 03:04 PM)

anyones preve has blinking headlights occasionally?

sometimes my car will 'kelip-kelip' -.-"
*
Is it really blinking or did it just dimmed for 1-2 seconds? It's due to the ac compressor kicks in.

should it do that though? maybe i should get it fixed at the next service.
*
Haha.. LOL..

Of course it shouldn't. But u can always try ask the SC next time whether they are able to adjust that.

QUOTE(gkl83 @ Nov 21 2012, 04:00 PM)
actually i thinking wrap without remove the original fabric, just simply "plug and play" with leather cover... is it possible?
look like the 6:40?

*
IMHO If the PnP one got side explode-able stitch sure, why not.

QUOTE(stargate8 @ Nov 21 2012, 04:01 PM)
door frame rubber is called weatherstrip... so far mine ok, no rainwater leak.

however, the run channel rubber or watever they called it, poor workmanship

and c pillar noise from the small windows, need to re-seal again, poor workmanship...sigh
*
Uiks, thought the c pillar wind noise is a known issue and they have instructed SC to replace the rubber strip edy? blink.gif

Donno about others but my wife's the one first realized whenever u turned on the air cond then try step out of the car. When ur feet firat touch the floor u should feel the wind blows from under our preve.. Tested it after that and i was shocking.gif

Need to go to the correct SC one I think..

QUOTE(BartS @ Nov 21 2012, 04:24 PM)
I think I was one of the earlier ones. So far, it's been smooth. Wont say it'll totally solve the occasional brightening of the HU's display but I do believe the frequency of such incidents has lessened.
A car's starter demands a lot of juice from the battery. No suprise if headlights dimmed a bit. Personally, I think it may be wiser to not have headlights set to 'Auto' before attempting to start the vehicle.
*
Or just set it to "Off" whenever u are get out of the car. As u won't know whether u'll start the car in the dark later on in the day. Hehe

Yeah .. the radiator's fan is very strong; blows so much hot air towards your leg as you alight from the vehicle. So much so that I nowadays stop the engine when I'm pumping air into the tires. Otherwise, you get a face full of hot air.

Huhuhu.. Damn..

Hi all,

I'm interested to get the Preve 2nd batch. Can I know, what is the chassis number for Preve 2nd batch? smile.gif
*
Hi there.. icon_rolleyes.gif

If u bought the car now or in Dec 2012 I believe its the 3rd or 4th batch already in term of production batch. The chassis no. maybe already 25k at that time. No fixed answer from me. Need to hear the insider's point on this matter though.

Remembered that last time we have somebody who work in Proton production line share their story here.. Forgot that fella's name edy though.. sweat.gif

who has done the ecu/tcu remap?
i got my car a month ago (now 3.3k mileage) and everything is ok on my end.
fuel consumption is about 8L/100km for town driving and can reach about 7L/100km.
for my top speed, i tried going 210km/h the other day going to ipoh racing with inspira 2.0P

im scared after update cant get back the same feeling..
*
I believe many has done but not have the chance to try the top speed. If I remember it correctly, Allen is coming to KL today. Maybe he did tested the new ECU/TCU setting's top speed.
