QUOTE(JJTam @ Nov 30 2012, 11:49 PM) Hi guys. Can I bring my own engine oil for service? Will it affect the warranty? I am guessing as long as your service schedule is right and it should be ok. By the way is there black n white clearly stated that preve comes with 5 years manufacturer warranty? If it's covered under manufacturer warranty why would one care about the service record, because only extended warranty needs approval from third party. Proton Edar service center permits own engine oil. Certain dealer operated doesnt permit. It will not void your warranty, but in your service log, it will be stated "Engine Oil Owner supply". |

if only the 2.2L can be raised to 2.4 or 2.5L, then it can be a good contender in the D-segment.
The Malaysian market still have strong affection towards displacement afterall. too bad the Y series engine got cancelled though. The Campro, IMO is very very old already. |

Had my chance of taking this sedan beyond 150 today. Most of the time is accidental one and one time is I am over excited with the cruise control.

QUOTE(gkl83 @ Dec 26 2012, 05:19 PM) i can wait till end of 2013 and see that time how... ah, yes. First generation CRV memang takde engine braking one. Roll downhill like BAWSE one. tried to depress some petrol pedal while downhill? will it suddenly shoot from 2k to 3k rpm? i guess it may just a "free play" only but the CVT doesn't engaged to wheel directly... happened to my colleague 10 years old CRV, no engine brake at all from genting downhill... how about u tried to high speed at D mode, dont shift to manual and press the + paddle shift instead... will the rpm get higher? if yes, then means have another virtual gear which is higher ratio than 7th gear... actually the engine braking can be cancelled one... At specific throttle load, engine braking function will be cancelled, but that of course is dangerous especially during traffic jams. |

QUOTE(Manlet @ Jan 2 2013, 06:27 PM) probly need few years driving to compensate the little bit fuel that can save from full exhaust piping lo oh, I beg to differ.before I done my full piping, I am getting average around 10-11km/L after full set exhaust makeover, 12-13km/L. Extra 2km/L, means every time I pump in RM30, I can travel 30km more. Every full tank (RM50) I can travel 52km more. |
