Just came back from a test ride in my car and they confirmed the gluk gluk sound at 80kmph came from the tyres.

And as for the dashboard vibration during hard acceleration, they said need to leave my car for one whole day for them to dismantle the whole dashboard and reinstall back. They need to use the two sided tapes provided by proton to stop the vibration.

Now they check the exhaust smoke smell in cabin.

Great..now I cannot bring my silver bullet home. They damaged my rear bumper! Now have to leave my car here for them to do touch up and respray tomorrow. What a day!

Just arrived at sc Bukit maluri but sa said my car is still doing respraying outside but said still not dry yet. Have to wait another 2 hours. Now some more heavy rain..haiz.

Omg! I think I dropped my jawbone at Bukit maluri sc yesterday..

Yeah, I saw them too. They almost flash my preve with exora update. Luckily I stopped them just before they press the enter key. I don't know whether they shared the same updates.

If you notice most of proton SA will take your car keys and go in and sit inside your car to take note of your mileage etc. Mine in Kepong SC don't. He will open the door and just stand outside and take the mileage. Why?

Because my preve got a strong perfume smell la..DURIAN PERFUME!

I said 'apa boleh buat,boss..musim durian la..' He said my car is don't know number how many already got this smell..
I make don't know only and said ' ya kah?" then smile..His face look serious, boy..I think he is not the durian type of guy.

Once my car is inside the service bay, the swat team quickly go into action put in the antibac then come the 'K-A-B-O-O-M!' then smoke is everywhere..All hell broke loose, i think all the durian smell that got trapped inside all died liao..

When I was inside the service bay with the proton mechanics to do the reflash, there is a list of models on the monitor for you to choose. Just make sure they select the right one. Mine is almost flashed with Exora. Later they choose PREVE.

I was so sad once i found out that my jawbone is not in my computer bag. I remembered very well I took it out from my car before i handle my car remote to SA and put into my computer bag. How come now is not inside.

Then I remembered back, it must have dropped off once i took out my iphone charger wire from the same pocket to charge my phone. Luckily I was one of the last two customer that day. I was waiting for my car to come back from respraying.

The next day I called back the SC Kepong, they said ' kita ada jumpa satu hitam punya.. tapi x tau apa brand la..tak ada tulis pun.."
I said ' ya la betul..tu buatan cina punya..memang x da brand punya la..tlg kasi simpan..tadi i dtg ambil' She said 'OK, jumpa cashier ya'

Personally i think if got brand written there, i don't think I can get it back. It is my lucky day indeed. My jawbone retailed at RM499.00.

OK, another story..I was having a chat with the other proton 1.6flx owner since only two of us left at around 6pm. He told me, he sent his car for service in Sg Besi SC. His car mileage is only 10K km. After serviced, he just drove off as normal. The next few days it was raining while he is driving, and suddenly the front car applied brake. He quickly brake too but the car skidded. Luckily nothing bad happened. He was wondering all the while he braked during raining is ok, but why today skidded. A day after, while he was washing his car, suddenly he see the tyre thread is 50% gone! on all 4 tyres! He strongly believe those guys in SC switched all his 4 tyres. He is a mechanic himself.

So, guys...PLEASE check and recheck before you drive off!

I just listened to his story since i feel boring cos the astro was out due to heavy rain and i have read through all the newspapers and all the car magazines there.

The moral of the story is ..do check your car before you drove off. Luckily for me too, i almost drove off with all the scratches at my rear bumper.

These boneheads will never tell you and never admit it is their fault.

Added on December 7, 2012, 5:30 pmmine CVT whining sound seem ok..only the gluk gluk sound at 80kmph onwards is very annoying...proton said tyres problem..he said all preves got this sound..maybe my ear korek very clean, and this seem very loud to me.

Great morning everyone!

I think some of you are still in bed..holiday ma. so jeles..cos ayam working every saturday..

Need to propose to boss for alternate sat off la..or best of all, all sat off..

Do you notice it is a bit hard to recline or lay down the front seats? My old wira, i just pull and lay down, fast and easy. For Preve, you need to play with the switch to get into the right position then only can push back. Or is it only my car?

After ECU/TCU update :-

I can 'feel like' driving a normal AT car with 'SPORT' mode ON. Like the gear changes at higher rpm so there is no more sluggishless feel. It is much easier to control the pedal now. The rpm moves faster than before from 1k rpm to 2k rpm. I can feel The power come earlier at 1.8K rpm rather than at 2k rpm previously. Now at 2k rpm, averagely I can get up to 80kmph, previously is at 90kmph. However going downhill i can still get up to 90kmph at 2k rpm. Overall, i am satisfied with the update. I got an extra 30km mileage on my first full tank. I done all the remedies to my Preve and now only left one more thing to do. That is to leave one more day at SC to dismantle and reinstall back my dashboard to rectify the vibration issue on hard acceleration.

Preve...G R E A T C A R ! for those who have less than RM100K to buy car ...like me..
