$15 x 12 mths + $50(GST) =$230
Not Worth It... sweat.gif

6 months is minimum means RM15 x 6 = RM90 + RM50 GST = RM140.

for 40k of big points, you can buy 2 ways ticket to Bangkok, this is what my friend told me. what do you think then?

40k can get you to many places. Refer to the latest promo:

http://www.tune2big.com/fc-myen/

Tempting indeed!

If you are a frequent traveller using AA then the 40k BIG points are very worth it. Recently i applied SCB cc, they also asked me to consider the world miles card because of the 40k BIG points which is very attractive.

In the end i chose the cash rebates for main and supp card since i dont travel frequently. Cash is more realistic!

Around 3 days.

Btw, SCB now provides e-statement. Will they send a pin to new customer for ebanking account?

QUOTE(pinksapphire @ May 22 2013, 04:26 PM)
I applied a supplementary card and I see in the statement that I'm already given RM30 cash back, but after minusing the service tax RM25, the new balance is RM5. So I assume this supp card will have RM5 credit while the balance of the RM270 will be given to the principal after 60 days.

My question is, does all supplementary cards get charged RM25 service tax the first time? That's quite a lot to take away from us, isn't it? And how about the RM50 GST, will they charge us at a later time?
*
50 on each principal card, 25 on each sup card. Both is charged annually. If you upgrade, it will be charged instantly on your new card.

Ah, so the RM25 is the GST for supp. Okay, I get it now, thanks!

Btw, does anyone know if I actually need to get the supp swiped or is it okay to leave it idle after activation (for the purpose of getting RM270 cashback)?
*
As long as you have activated the card, you dont use it also the cash back will come in. This is what my agent told me

If I have Gold Visa CC already and apply this promotion for Business Visa Gold CC, do I entitle for RM450 cash back?
*

QUOTE(cempedaklife @ May 25 2013, 09:01 PM)
in light of what kanethesun mentioned (although it might be his mistake), i need to share my experience as well.

i've applied my 2nd scb card some 2 months back, during that time, i've received an sms saying that my application was successful, then a day later, an agent called me, to say my application is unsuccessful. i was a bit skeptical and told him that i've received sms saying it's successful. he talk abit more and hang up. after that, one or two weeks later, i received my card. so i rub off the whole incident....

until my fren applied for his first scb card. as a new applicant might know, now we can't submit the document through online, only thru email. so my fren did that, then he received a call from an agent, telling him that the email din go through, bla bla bla, ask him to send the document into a direct email (but still with scb domain) and told him that becoz of that he will get rm50 less. my fren argue with him on that as this is system error, and not because of the incomplete documents. i can't remember what happen next but i remember my fren not agree with the rm50 being deducted and he would rather re-apply

the next day after the call, he got his sms approval and one week later, his card.

i'm not sure whether in this 2 incidents, the agent actually wanna cheat the new applicants so that they will earn their agent fee.

all i can say is i just want to share with everyone here about this, if they really do that, it's really unprofessional of them.
*
yes, certain agents do that. on top of that due to my existing cards are not at least 2 years old, they asked for my education certificates. there goes my RM50.

actually i have cards more than 2 years old, just that i upgraded or changed to other cards and they could not find in the system. Anyway it is free money, i did not argue much.
