Will apply for this card, for the RM 300 cash back. laugh.gif

I'm qualified for Business VISA Platinum and only about RM 2k lacking for Platinum VISA's annual requirement. If I were thick faced enough, I wonder if they will give me Plat VISA. laugh.gif

Not sure what's the difference but I think I will go for Business VISA Platinum since I can fulfill the requirements. laugh.gif

Same benefits..but who knows, PS agent may ask you to apply both  whistling.gif

If you are lucky, you may get RM400 cashback instead (as reported by several new applicants)
*
Er, sorry but if I really get to apply 2, so will get RM 300x2?
Pardon me, first time applying for Stan Chart. I didn't know this until my sister told me just now because she also has this card.
Will bring me to the roadshow agent tomorrow, let's see how it goes.

Apply at booth won't get RM300 cash back.... it's the normal RM55 + SmartTag + Petrol Rebate.
Just apply online .... better yet let me recommend you  whistling.gif  whistling.gif

Oh is it? Thanks for enlightening me, I didn't know only online can have RM 300. tongue.gif I'll apply online for Business VISA Plat.
Haha. Thanks for your words but I think my sister can recommend me. laugh.gif

Never mind, apply at booth for the free gift and also the normal rebate. tongue.gif
Will try to apply for the Plat VISA. tongue.gif

Is there any last day to apply for SCB cards to get that RM 300 cash back?

Since it is approaching year end, I plan to apply only in January 2013 and submit in my Jan 2013 payslip which I will get in mid of Jan.

Er, I just recalled that I rejected their offer earlier this year when they called and offered me their Business VISA Platinum. Not sure if they are going to consider my application this round, coincidentally for BVP as well. sweat.gif

Added on December 28, 2012, 2:08 amAlso, since I seldom go back hometown these days. Can I choose the office address as correspondence address but just for temporarily? Just to get them sent my card to office instead of hometown else I'll need to travel back just for this card. sweat.gif (Assuming if they approve my application)

Then, after I receive my card, I need to change it back to my hometown's address, is that possible? I believe SCB has online statements, so I don't really need physical statements actually.

I think they keep extending the dateline. I remember I applied almost the last day of the dateline. Then later found out the promo is still on. That was 2 months ago. Best to check with scb or ps.

When u fill in the application form, u need to put home n work address. Should be fine if scb send to your work place.
*
Where can I check the deadline?

Ya, but I just want the correspondence address to be temporarily parked under company's address. After I receive my card, I need to get it changed to my hometown.

From the website, terms and condition.

Just put your company address for delivery. Once you receive the card, request to change the address. Better dont make the CS confuse now.

+1

There should be a place to tick where to send the card to (if I'm not mistaken) in the application form.
*
Thanks guys. smile.gif
I don't plan to confuse them now but had bad experience with my Maybank card whereby keep telling them I need it to be delivered to office yet it sent back to my hometown. doh.gif

Pardon my ignorance, what are the things that have been removed?

I already have Maybankard2Card and OCBC Ti but just that I would like to get the RM 300 cash back from SCB. tongue.gif

Gotta put in my application next week after I get my Jan salary on 18th.

I don't mind waiting for 6 months to cancel it, after all I'm going to pay for the GST and it lasts for 1 year.

Ask u mentioned earlier, just utilize on the rm300 cashback. Once fully utilize cashback. Time to stop using it for good.

Dun hope for ongoing benefits
*
I guess that's the only option for me. laugh.gif
Hopefully they won't reject me because I did reject their SCB Platinum before when they called to offer me. laugh.gif

No connection la.

I did reject before when agent call me. That's when I know this promo, coz the last promo if I apply thru agent, I will get certain amount cashback but if I apply online I will get rm100 more. Lol.
*
Good. That convinces me a bit. I'm going to apply online as well, since it has such facility. I just need to upload the documents.

My OCBC agent jumped ship to SCB recently and called me just now to offer me their SCB Plat.

I asked him to drop me an email on the brochure before I decide further.

I will read this thread as well and I think the feedback wasn't that great. laugh.gif

In the email, he also mentioned this:
* Platinum/Gold - Visa/ Mastercard with RM55 Welcome Cash Back into NEW card account.

* 15% cash rebate on every Petrol spending *(subject to capping of RM48 per month)

* Platinum wish List – redeem anything you wish for

* Balance Transfer 0% p.a.

* Substantial credit limit

* Approval within 1 Day.*

Does this mean it is a better deal to apply through him than applying online?

Apply online get rm300 principal and 150 supplementary cashback.

But through agent get rm55 cashback & 15% rebate on petrol for 6 months only. (rm48 x 6 =  rm288, but need to fill petrol min rm320/month). And only get cashback after 2months.

Depends what u want. Also if apply using agent ask for free lousy gifts i.e. bag/steamer etc.
*
Thanks for the insight, obviously applying through online is a better deal. laugh.gif
Anyway, I have no experience in SCB, better do some reading before applying. biggrin.gif
Thanks for the information. notworthy.gif

Man, the agents from SCB (I suspect part timers) are annoying. They set up a booth in Sooka Sentral, KL Sentral and follow everybody that in the building. Keep asking a lot of questions.

Just now I had no choice but to entertain because I was waiting for my turn to withdraw money from ATM.

He briefly told me that he didn't need any salary documentations because I'm already holding OCBC Ti which qualifies for their Plat.

OK fine, then it follows by. GST and annual fees will be waived even though no usage for one year. Then, free one tabung I think. This part, I'm not sure if I heard wrongly... Free trips to Thai. sweat.gif

Anybody knows about this?

Maybe when I'm free later, will pay a visit to the booth. Since they said, I don't need to show any proof.

I think he is referring to WorldMiles card, you get BigPoints but read the T&C

Ya, will check them out tomorrow if I'm free.
But maybe not, I have 1 interview to conduct and 6 discussions to attend. sweat.gif
I'm curious on the free tips. laugh.gif

one sure way to drive them off instead of them keep pestering u is to say that u r owning the card already  laugh.gif

Too bad, when I opened my wallet to take out my ATM card. He saw my credit cards because I arranged them nicely. laugh.gif

It says "Cardholders subject to RM50 service tax per year." Say if I got my application approved, I won't kena any service tax if i don't want to activate the card rite?
*
Er, as far as I know GST is applicable once the card is approved and not if it is activated or not.

Ya, me too just received a call from my agent. sweat.gif
I will look into it and might apply for the purpose of the free 25k AA points. Can keep the card in drawer after activation.

Guys, the cash back promotion is for new card holders right?

I'm planning to apply the RM 350 (principal) + RM 100 (supp) promo, the Raya promo.

I'm surprised how some of you can apply 7 cards... sad.gif

We can apply 7 cards because SCB is desperate for more cardholders. You can do it too... Even offered by Price Solution which reviews your application.

Thanks. biggrin.gif Will apply for this Raya cash back first. tongue.gif
Sorry, what is Price Solutions? blush.gif
