Yes, AWD are reliable and safe but if you are looking for bargain price, check out agoda.com and booking.com too.Added on November 2, 2010, 10:01 am avoid petaling street. its quite messy if u ask me. try to have it in ampang or bukit bintang. better, but still be cautioned. QUOTE(weirdguy @ Nov 17 2010, 03:24 PM) Hello all, I have been to all of your hotel choices.I got trouble choosing these hotels in Kuala Lumpur. The purpose of my stay is to celebrate my anniversary with my fiancee and we will be travelling to Kuala Lumpur for 3D2N. - Renaissance - Impiana KLCC - Novotel Budget: RM250 per night. I had read many reviews from Trip Advisor. Honestly, they are not helping. Some say good and bad, even worst. I really don't want my high expectation of these hotel to be drain away due to bad experience. If that's the case, I will rather spend the MYR250 per night on somewhere else. Decent stay such as Sentral and Cititel Express and Enjoy good buffet and food. What do you all think? EDIT: No Comment from others. Adui. Renaissance : Very big hotel with amenities and great swimming pool. However, service in Renaissance are up and down, sometimes great and sometimes slow. 5 Star Hotel. I never had bad experience with Renaissance KL. Impiana : Nice boutique alike. Its more towards traditional rather than modern. Small and pool get very crowded when occupancy rates are higher because their infinity pool are small. 4 Star Novotel : Its business oriented hotel. Great business facilities. Room are smaller. 4 star My choice : For anniversary and food at hotel, I would choose Renaissance. Very great place to relax and romance. Review for Renaissance on Tripadvisor getting bad because they compared it with same standard 5* hotel like Westin, Grand Millenium or even Traders/Mandarin Oriental. Try to search great deal at Streetmart for Renaissance. An upgrade voucher are very good to get room upgrade. They even upgrade me to Renoir suites after combining Marriott Gold and upgrade voucher coupons. P/s : Try to get West wing instead of East wings. The ambience are nicer. Btw, how high your expectation are? This post has been edited by Putraskyline: Nov 22 2010, 01:48 PM |

QUOTE(weirdguy @ Nov 22 2010, 07:31 PM) Renaissance: The swimming pool is really attractive. If your expectation just like 5 star, I guess you would never disappointed (Don't compare with luxury 5 star ya). The ambiance, environment really suit your needs. How much you need to pay for Renaissance? You can have romantic dinner at Med@Marche too. Last weekend, I bought voucher from Myvoucheronline and he throw me some upgrade voucher. I use them straight away after some negotiation with duty manager.I don't expect to be treated like a King, but I expect the basics of 5 Star Hotel (if I staying at a 5 Star) - Really Clean and spotless Room and good customer service. I will be flying across the sea to KL to celebrate the anniversary, so I don't want to disappointed with the amount I paid. If I know I will be disappointed, I don't mind staying in a decent budget hotel like Sentral and spent the money on gift and good food. Like people always quote, it is easier to get disappointed if you are expecting more. That's what I mean. This post has been edited by Putraskyline: Nov 22 2010, 08:51 PM |

QUOTE(weirdguy @ Nov 22 2010, 09:26 PM) Myvoucheronline definitely has good deal! Thanks. I have been to WW Deluxe, WW Jr Suite and also WW Renoir Suite. The different, Deluxe smaller (normal hotel room), Junior suite have living room while Renoir located at club level, guest have access to exclusive lounge, room bigger than junior suite because got extra dining room. For bathroom, junior suite and deluxe are the same while renoir got corner jacuzzi tab with extra luxury amenities.Since you have first-hand experience staying at Renais Suit, what is the difference compare to West Wing Deluxe Room? Bigger Bathtub? My advice : Buy voucher from LYN, reserved your date at Renaissance Prestige Plus. If you get extra voucher for upgrading, don't state that you want to upgrade when you make reservation. Because, if you tell them when reserved the room, you will get junior suite at East Wing instead of West Wing. Ask the reception about upgrading when you check In. If you have any Marriot Reward programme either Gold or Platinum, you will be upgraded 2 category of the room (in this case, you will get Renoir suite). |

QUOTE(harrychoo @ Feb 8 2011, 09:02 AM) I hope this is the right section to ask this. Try to look at Micasa All Suites or Nomad Sucasa which is more cheaper.Anyone can recommend me hotel suite or service apartment with reasonable price and big enough to hold wedding ceremony purpose? Location around Ampang, KLCC, Bukit Bintang or somewhere near this area. I guess need at least 2 rooms with 1 living room and the hotel/apartment allow to do this event to prevent other tenants complaints if somewhat noisy. Thanks. |
