QUOTE(kmoh4346 @ Nov 19 2012, 10:56 PM) Keyboard purchase separately. Have to wait 2 weeks. Funny how the lower atom version comes with keyboard. Price rm3499.00. Instead of gift, asked for keyboard to be discounted. Heard lowyat is selling it. The ppl who preorder in ikano with RM3599 comes with the keyboard and comes with Windows 8 StandardWill try to post my opinion soon. Your package RM3499 comes with Windows 8 pro (RM400++ more than Windows 8 standard), so it makes fair deal too. |

QUOTE(rhoyo @ Nov 14 2012, 07:46 PM) oh i see .. so its plastic at the bottom ya . i never touch the device yet .. was planning to buy this or the sony one .. but sony one is a bit expensive . do u usually do extreme stuff on ur device . like the one u buy the sony one . u use it for heavy stuff or linear stuff ? .. so its a bad thing for this detachable keyboard thingy ?? Like what string has mentioned, think about how you'll be using the device in order to decide if its right for you. Cost wise there's not much difference between Sony and Samsung, so its a matter of deciding..- do you want an N-Trig or Wacom digitizer? - do you want a device with a built in digitizer storage or not? - would you like the capability of a removable keyboard? - can you stand the feel of that plastic? |

And be aware of the reported glitches. From Hardwarezone SG forum:-

You dont want your external drive disconnect/reconnecting would you? Not to mention the keyboard itself too. Keyboard disconnect/reconnect, virtual keyboard pops up and down. Sounds fun. used my pc pro for a couple of days in sg with singtel without problem and now using it in china with china unicom also no problem. my problem so far: a. wifi function disappeared on its own, fix by making changes in device manager b. 3G function disappeared on its own, fix by making changes in device manager c. system laggy at times esp multi tasking or multi apps d. explorer 10 is ****ty ... downloaded google chrome e. unstable docking |

QUOTE(rhoyo @ Nov 20 2012, 01:17 PM) hmmm Digitizer as in can you keep the pen inside the device or not. You have a slot in the Samsung, where as for the Sony you need to by the extra battery to get that capability.- anything would do - digitzer storage means fizikal or dropbox thingy - iwant a removable keyboard -no problem with plastic u using sony also rite ? . My target is the Samsung. This post has been edited by marauderz: Nov 20 2012, 05:38 PM |

Extra: Reason for going for non Pro is simply because of budget and Intel Clover Trail is enough for my work. I'm only doing simple programming, photoshop and web reading. Heavy gaming goes to my laptop. I wonder if the 500T can run games like MapleStory though? This post has been edited by farkingdom: Nov 21 2012, 09:12 AM |
