I got the quotation from perodua SC two months ago..
Rear 533.3 front is 261.6 and 241.8..
Labour is RM250
In the end I didn't chg at SC so I dunno if there's any hidden costs

i remember there is a malay friend here who has changed many items in the engine bay, includeing the engine mounting, and he posted the receipt here. too bad i cant locate it now.

1. can someone please help to quote the prices for the front and rear engine mounting ?

2. also, the price for 1/2 overhaul, or the top engine part overhaul ?

i hope sone friends here can help, as i hope to have budget to do the 1/2 overhaul while they take down my engine for changing the engine mounting.

Thanks alot pals.

Hi kelisa bros,

If I can remember, I did it at Pero2 authorised service center,
about 5 years ago for about less than RM600, inclusive parts & labour.

But only 2 mountings were changed instead of the 3 pcs, because the service centre
said no need waste time to lift up the engine completely to change 3 pcs mounting,
as it takes 1 whole day, waste their time and can't earn much as labour prices are fixed.

Take note of the above exception, bros!

If change 2 pcs mounting, just jack up the engine a bit, very fast, as they told me.
I went along with their idea, as I was in a hurry too.

Until today, looking back, I am not sure change 2 or 3 is better.
If they lift up the whole engine, may cause even more problems to other areas?
Better just jack up abit, less collateral damages?

Good luck bros, and is it really necessary to change engine mounting, I did asked myself once?

Hi there. thanks for your reply.
yes, i think i need a change as the engine is vibrating clearly when i look at it . the hose is also vibrating. my foreman checked and said 1 of the mounting swallen already. he is my reliable friend too. he advised me, if necessary (need further checking) it is better to unload the engine from the bottom, just need to disconnect the electrical wirings. i like this because it is the best time to ask him to fix up any other loose parts in the engine bay +sound proof (i passed my Insuflix sound proof matt) for the new front bumper and the side fenders + degreasing any greasy parts. it is easier to do it when the engine is taken off.

actually, i am thinking of top 1/2 overhaul since the engine is to be taken off. ANY FRIENDS KNOW THE PRICE FOR TOP OVERHAUL ?

Thanks.

ps: where is megat and arenkim? rclxub.gif

Similar to bro smokeman, I also didn't change all 3 pieces. Mind to share your mounting condition after this 5 years?

But I am more cost-conservative than u bro mikehwy, I only changed one piece, after asking around here, workshops and service centres. And the problem solved.

so we can only change the piece that gives problem? great, i will ask my foreman friend to check first and see howof each piece. i am not planning to spend that much too ....lol.

thanks bro rclxms.gif
