thanks for looking...
i use as large aperture as i can since not much difference in DOF due to small sensor, which depends on the focal length ranging from 3.5-5.6, ISO 1600 and above (i think, some are ISO2000-3200) for most shots except those purposely put under the bright lamp. very dim lighting like average bistro, not like disco though those almost pitch black lol...

you'll have to take the shutter speed into consideration. with VR lens like the 10mm-30mm kit lens i use for the V1, i can shoot comfortably at 1/20 hand held and lower if brace on table/sofa/etc. if no VR will be different story.
Added on December 12, 2012, 5:34 pmif you mean increase the aperture size means smaller number beyond the spec, no. if you mean increase the number means smaller aperture, then depends on which camera/lens. DSLR lens may or may not have manual aperture ring on lens, most mirrorless lens doesn't have aperture ring, and 99.9% compact cameras doesn't have aperture ring. those that doesn't have manual aperture ring, there're always way to set the aperture via menu or dial control.
It's my pleasure to be able to enjoy such beautiful photos, man! Can tell us more about the settings for each photo?
For low light shots, people want to shoot at as low an ISO speed as possible, right, in order to minimise noise? Shutter speed as slow as possible so that it allows more light to enter into the lens?
I am a newbie in photography... Newbie as in 99% fresh, apa pun tak tau.

The 1% is gained via self-reading from camera reviews, photography blogs, bla bla bla...

All I have ever used is a compact point and shoot. 100% automatic.
