er.. i used 17-50 tamron f/2.8
shot at 50mm and aperture f/2.8

if use 50mm, the bokeh lagi cantik smile.gif
heard 35mm 1.8g quite harsh bokeh..
50mm 1.8g has smoother bokeh..

This one taken with 35mm 1.8G laugh.gif

QUOTE(razkal @ Dec 29 2012, 06:54 AM)
Morning guys, I need some advice regarding Nikon lenses. Really tempted with the new D600 and thinking of changing to full frame camera from micro four third. Between 50mm f1.4g and 50mm f1.8g, which is one is better to start with as my first lens. Also heard that D600 got problems with dust/oil. Has Nikon solved this with the newer batches? Thanks
*

From what I heard, the newer batch of D600 do not have this problem. Serial number that starts with 8010XXX do not have this problem.

Yup. I guess that best describes my camera. Really don't know WTF those guys at Nikon are doing! mad.gif See lahh tomorrow what they are going to say. I am sure 90% will be the usual crap of
Who is going to send my camera for me? President of Nikon Global ahh?
*

That's pretty much the deal. Where did you buy the camera? Foto Miami?

Not sure whether Nikon offer dealer exchange too, this is their warranty policy http://www.nikon.com.my/en_MY/warranty.page

looks like from the 1.4 brows.gif

Nah, with the 35 1.8G laugh.gif background not blurred enough?

it's on a D600 ? 35mm 1.8g? i feel the color like not balanced leh..one side bluish one side orangy..  hmm.gif
*

Yup, the 35 1.8G on D600. You mean it would be better if the colours on both side is balanced? The ambient light was less warm than the candlelight though.

I like the feel of the photo  thumbup.gif
But perhaps placing a bit more focus on the cake (making it bigger) would be slightly better I think
*

Yeah haha, I think so too.

QUOTE(Nogol @ Jan 7 2013, 08:43 AM)
I'm thinking of getting a zoom lens for my D7000, deciding between 70-200 f2.8 from Sigma or Tamron, or get cheaper Nikon 70-300mm f4.5-5.6 VR.

Anyone has used any of these lens? Nikon's 70-200 f2.8 is too expensive for me, so I'm looking for alternatives.
*

I'm using the Tamron 70-200 f2.8 lens, overall sharp, nice bokeh and colour but slower focusing. Excellent price too.

F/2.8 suppose to be fast
if slower focusing a bit beat the purpose
*

Not too slow but if you compare it side by side with the Nikon's its significantly slower due to the inferior motor and also the closer MFD on the Tamron.

Thanks for the quick reply! smile.gif . What if I have the warranty card without date of purchase? The shop's chop is already there. Can I send it in for warranty? Or do I need to present the receipt as well
*

Some times they do accept without the original receipt. The official will ask you to fill in a date for your warranty card. So just fill in a date that you're comfortable with laugh.gif

What's the estimation of 2nd hand price for D7000 with 35K SC? Still in very good condition and the labelling on the buttons didn't worn off at all. I'm considering a full upgrade to full-frame if my budget allows.

Sold mine with 25K SC, warranty 1 month left for RM2.1k biggrin.gif
