QUOTE(kailord @ Dec 27 2012, 03:12 PM) Were you using GPS during that drive? The volume of our stock GPS does not tally with the radio. GPS volume is much much lower than radio. And speaker priority goes to the GPS. So when you are on normal radio volume (3 - 5), the radio will be silenced to give way to GPS but you don't hear a thing due to the volume difference. GPS volume can be adjust from the SpeedNavi apps

QUOTE(pds_disi @ Dec 29 2012, 08:05 PM) hi guys, i got a question: when i collect my forte, sales agent tell me that radiator water tank can only fill coolant, not tap water. today during service, see the tech pour water into water tank (same bottle to fill windscreen water tank & radiator water tank) so now sales agent vs service center, who is right ? Ur SA lousy hehe Added on December 29, 2012, 11:53 pmQUOTE(Ah_Bear @ Dec 29 2012, 02:56 PM) Visited that Setapak SC this morning. They have repaired all the faults connection towards ECU via computer and replaced a new ECU. Engine light indicator is now gone. According to SA, technicians will resume their work on next Monday to do thorough check of the whole car and road test before they can release the car to me earliest on next Wednesday. Since I have a 2nd car to drive now, I think I should let that SC more time to do their work without pushing them so hard. Hoping that Setapak SC they know what they are doing.. no more going there again.. Urs 1.6 or 2.0 Pm me ur car full registration number , might able get someone there to look into ur case seriously This post has been edited by g88: Dec 29 2012, 11:53 PM

QUOTE(bennedict82 @ Dec 30 2012, 11:30 AM) Anyone has changed your hydraulic steering of 1.6SX to MDPS(motor driven power steering) steering? I heard it will be lighter and also save fuel. Wondering if this is possible and what is the price. Its not only involving mechanical parts upgrade but also ur car entire electronic system, MDPS need a seperate ecu to control it

QUOTE(Ah_Bear @ Jan 2 2013, 11:24 PM) My A/C has that sound too when turned on.. there is also quite soft "crok" sound as you turn the temperature knob to adjust temperature.. other cars didn't behave like this though.. This is NORMAL as Forte is a 'GLOBAL' model car where it has HEATER (for winter country), the sound that you mentioned is the FLAP that open/close which alot amount of HOT/COLD air passing thru your air vent.... QUOTE(Ah_Bear @ Jan 3 2013, 09:50 AM) yeap white colour.. you work there.. ?? I assume the air-cond thingy is normal.. I also realise driver side air-vents blow warmer air compare to front passenger side if temperature set to 23C above.. ok for me because I don't like chilly air while I'm driving.. eyes will kering.. This is abnormal then. Both driver and passanger side will block SAME tempreture air...

I don't wanna fix that.. if not I will get face freeze while driving.. too bad Forte doesn't have dual climate control A/C.. that's why I've chosen Sportage as second option while surveying new car.. I can't tell you...well its either i work there or i have been there If dual climate will give u bigger headache with temp is not equal This post has been edited by g88: Jan 3 2013, 10:45 AM

QUOTE(jeschong @ Jan 3 2013, 10:51 AM) coating - more expensive - last longer - protect paint - one shot settle wax - cheaper especially many nice deal in groupon - paint will be getting thin due to polishing - more fun & satisfaction if diy - more time - may cause swirl mark (well, coating may cause swirl mark also) my 2cent Coating - Yes Pricy - Depend how you maintain it. It your think after coating, only wash once a week or car is park under sunlight or acid rain all time, you can save your $$ Wax - Yes Cheaper IF compare with coating but there is also expensive wax where you can use for years (e.g one CAN) - Wax not a must polishing IF you able to main your paintwork well. Just TOP UP when you think your protection layer is getting thinner Ur point of view is not very accurate. Sorry to say so

QUOTE(jeschong @ Jan 3 2013, 11:03 AM) bro, i guess we still need to polish at least once or twice a year right as im juz a cheap labor n no private parking to avoid acid rain n sunlight? i feel the paint on our forte is very thin originally, maybe only mine Like i said, IF you able to maintain WELL (even you park under open space car park), polish is not require...just need to TOP up waxing to ensure protection layer is there all time.. Modern car paintwork is fairly thin nowadays....do you think COATING will not polish your car ?? Do it the right way, spent the $$ wisely.....dun go bawah pokok car wash...even coating can't withstand it

Just my gentle advice for those that really LIKE to take car your car (paintwork) BUT you are concern about PRICY product e.g Meguiars (consider high end product in Malaysia market), you DO GET What you pay for BUT you MUST also have to UNDERSTAND how the product work (in its best way).
There are way more simliar or better product in the market just its not popular here due to demand and costing....
Sometime cheaper (affortable) product also work in its own way...e.g Perma Glass.
All this are my user experience.
Don't because of CHEAP (or BIG bottle) you go get it...get something WORTH the value....
IMAGE, if you see a body shampoo only Rm10 for 2 liter vs a shampoo that have brand but selling Rm15 at 750ml....
