Getting Started

Just recently (few hours ago) got my Innacomm W3400V6 free modem through upgrading my previous 1Mbps to 4Mbps.
Tried switching off modem for 30s and turning it back on. Tried unplugging for 30s and then plugging back and turning the modem back on.
If any, that can be accessed in the technician's netbook when he installed it for me but when tried on my PC it can't access and he claimed that my PC was the problem.
Later tested it with a laptop, also cannot access. Coincidence?
On a side note, he mentioned that I should turn off my modem when not using so that they can upgrade when it is off and the upgrade will be done within a week. Seriously?

TS .. Innacomm W3400V has many issues and I dont know why they still bundle with 4Mbps package. Maybe they have to do some research before throwing in free stuffs in the said package. As, far I know 4Mbps can only support fewer modems in the market, TM used to give the bulky BILLION where I found very stable for 4Mbps but later discontinued .. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Other than that will be this RIGER .. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « but I suggest u to get 3rd party modem such as AZTECH / TPLINK

Common, this youself .. how he gonna access your connection if your modem / router is turned off? he lied

do you have any internet connection now using that modem?
if so try to type : ipconfig in cmd
and check the default gateway ip.. will show ( 192.x.x.x)
by default the gateway should be the access for your router.

Earlier I asked the tech about D-Link, immediate answer: no stock. Yeah I prefer 3rd party modem BUT they're kinda pricey, for me anyway =/

Disabled network adapter 2. Changed LAN cable port 3. Enabled network adapter Still not working. QUOTE(Xploit Machine) are u on IPv6? if yes try http://fe80::1%11I don't think I'm on IPv6 and just tried it (with and without the http://) it went to search (Chrome) and in Firefox, this: The address wasn't understoodThere's a check in the IPv6 box under Control Panel -> Network & Internet -> Network & Sharing Center -> Change Adapter Settings -> Right Click + Propeties meaning I'm using IPv6? Unchecked and still with same result. This post has been edited by Skyfer: Nov 8 2012, 06:08 PM

Buddy, Just try this » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « annot access configuration
If you are unable to connect to the web-based configuration, follow the steps below:
• Verify physical connectivity by checking for solid link lights on the Ethernet ports of the device. If you do not get a solid link light, try using a different cable or connect to a different port on the device if possible. If the computer is turned off, the link light may not be on. Status light should be flashing.
• Disable any Internet security software running on the computer. Software firewalls like Zone Alarm, Black Ice, Sygate, Norton Personal Firewall, etc. might block access to the configuration pages. Check the help files included with your firewall software for more information on disabling or configuring it.
• Configure your Internet settings:
Step 1 Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel.
Step 2 Double-click the Internet Options Icon.
Step 3 On the Security tab, click to the button to restore the settings to their defaults.
Step 4 Click to the Connection tab and set the dial-up option to Never Dial a Connection.
Step 5 Click the LAN Settings button. Nothing should be checked. Click OK.
Step 6 Click the Advanced tab and then click the button to restore the settings to their defaults. Click OK.
• Check your IP address. Your computer must have an IP address in the same range of the device you are attempting to configure.
If you are still unable to access the web-based configuration you may need to reset it to defaults or reload firmware. If still cannot, just call the freaking TM Cust Svc and
