been playing since classic---skipped TBC----cameback WOTLK--- skipped Cata---- ????? MOP
so the question is should i or should i not? or diablo 3?
hows the new talent revamp and all... does it feels like a new thing or just same old same old?
hows PVE and PVP now compare to it used to be?
any comments would highly appreciated.... thank you

Dude, you can play for free now. If you have account. Just log in and you can even play Panda race(not the monk char though)

Then you can test it out before upgrading.


I think it is mainly for the sake of progression. Like all expansion, you will need to play the game and see the quest to see the storyline.

Each expansion had roughly the same progression. Storyline is - you beat the baddies.

if you are't certain there F2P wow,
note:you can't whisper to other in F2p, so its hard to contact you guildies

you can use F2p to check how thing going in wow,
there Cross Realm Zone(CRZ; crazy that what i call) now,
it means you can see and interact with other player from diffrent realm in that zone.
there ALOT of people dual in durotar, so you can see how the class fare against each other.

as for the new talent tree, its yes, and no.
you can select only one per tier,
mostly spell are old spell.
take warlock 2nd tier example: howl of terror; mortal coil(deathcoil re-name); and shadow fury
they used to on all warlock spell book, but now you can only choose 1 of these three.
there are new spell mix in the tier and end tier are the new powerful spell

can't comment on PVE.

add: official forum player rant something about forec to do daily to gain rap(no tabard rep)
and garrosh is an idiot.

hahaha yea progression just wondering hows pve? and pvp?
for example BWL.... do you still need to farm capes to survive the firebreath or something like that? (cant remember the last i stepped into BWL is like ages ago)
woot and naxx controlling the mobs to tank boss....

and Imbecile for f2p do you mean like private servers?
if its private server then i have tried it before and its just plain sucks >.< nothing is working in there
even a lvl 60 druid can solo ragnaros =.= (and again this is back in like stone age)

Can play up to certain lvl. Last time I check it is free to play up to 25 or sumthing.


For sure, you will have to farm stuff... if you want progression.

Otherwise you can join LFR(looking for raid) and just join bunch of random people and hack the *boss at reduced capability and easy clear to watch the end game.

btw, about 7-8 months ago. Got free upgrade all the way to cataclysm. <at that time cataclysm was already towards th end point for the expansion >

And also got free 85 char when sor by some existing subscription. + free mount.


And others like another promotion, give you free D3 also got. But have to sign up for 1 year subs of WOW. <I got into it.>


If you buy expansion for regular price, I think includes 1 month subs.

Taiwanese communicate in Chinese, although some of it will know English.

If Ang Mo from US / British / French can play wowtaiwan so do you.

That’s why we got a guild to help people like me and you who prefer English.

Most of us also opt to use English client to play in wowtaiwan since we already familiar with the US version.

not private server,
Blizzard made its old 10days trial account into F2p(or limites access account)
forever free but limited thing you can do.
you only get to lvl to level 20,
can use all class race combo except monk and DK
only 10g limit
can't use mailbox.
can't form group/ inv.
profession level to 100 skill
2nd profession(1st aid/fishing, etc) 375(due to gold limit)
you can get boa(bind to account) gear from honorpoint or darkmoon fair.
can go Northren; outland you need lock summon since darkportal again rise the level limit

there are alot of f2p player in us server alone, our goal mostly twink out and do BG,
and limited arena(but must have p2p help)

- brutal gears is readily available
- playing at 72-74 bracket
- win AV a lot these days and they actually PVP
