if roller shutter don't think you can do anything....
if lagging, try recording at lower bitrates (e.g. AVCHD 25p 17Mbps or even MP4 640x480) and see if there is a difference. if yes, maybe you need to consider faster SDHC card but then according to spec, class 4 which is 4Mb/s write speed should be enough even for the highest quality 1080 50p 28Mbps (3.5MB/s). I'm using Sandisk Extreme Pro class 10 (45MB/s) and don't see any lag but I do face rolling shutter effect.
Viewing video on PC, I've noticed VLC will have problems playing back 1080. Install klite codec then use windows media player and see, if no dropped frame it's not due to the speed of the SDHC I think.
Another example of rolling shutter, with Canon DSLR:

Hey guise!
i tried recording 1080 video in mp4 with my NEX 5r.
during recording i can see from the screen there are noticeable lag. viewing video on my pc i can see frame rate drops.
i wonder if it's due to my slow, class 4 SDHC card? will this problem be addressed if i just get use a higher classed SDHC card, like class 6 or smthing??
any sifu's advice please?
