About performance, maybe you can test Iodak v8 kernel...Its my daily driver for 2 weeks now..No freezing/lagging whatsoever until now...Deep Sleep like a baby everytime...Battery drain is just fine, better and better...

Im having this phone for about 5 months now. Using stock till now. Recently it became quite laggy and every now and then it will freeze up when I want to make a call, sometimes need to remove battery to restart it.

Anyone has this prob? Any good tutorial sites to root or upgrade to JB or anything to make it smoother? Thanks

Iodak v8 Kernel i will test soon , werewolf going to test it. not bad.XD but not battery drain for Mokee custom rom is good enough. 

still baseband wakelock problem?

How is that...? For me as long as it can last at least 8-9 Hours with Data Network on, thats adequate enough..As putting aside all those hardware defficiency, we cant expect a smartphone with 4.7"inch LCD, on a Quaddie proc can last for a day...

My last setup on stock rom, V20C fully debloated, running on Wheatley+Row compilation..Can last up to 8 hours with medium usage of Facebook/Whatsapp, 3 hours of screentime...Of course custom kernels...

Right now im testing CM 10.1 Based Avatar rom, stock cm kernels...Still in test phase..Result seems pretty nice..Better than stock but not that far...Theming is nice...

nope...i have found the culprit

is the battery  ....after changing it my screen on time are back to 2 hours 30minute max

before changing only 1hours max on screen time
well....i just factory reset still the same issue then i just call up LG and buy a new battery

cost only rm61 and postage rm11

the postage so expensive is because he use a box that size like a ATX motherboard and put the battery into it

And how is that new battery? Is it the phone become better?

i think this model have stopped production and mostly are leftover stock which having a price slashed more than 50%!!

if you are a person looking for smoothness and not performance...this is a phone value for money

I'm coming from a Galaxy W (nearing its 2nd year of use soon in Dec) and what can I say, the support sucks for it. No upgrade and had to depend on devs to port roms. Plus, the phone's performance is not that superb, though its smooth but not so with some average occurence of lags. This phone addresses it .

do look into garage sales section....there are a few seller with a very competitive pricing

should I still go for this, or should I go for better models like Optimus LTE2 or Optimus G? Price is very tempting as just add extra $$ then get a much better one in terms of performance

optimus G which is the succesor or optimus 4x HD

in theory ....it should be better as it using snapdragon processor

the cons i see is...unremovable battery with almost same capacity as optimus 4x hd

yeah that's a con. but the S4 proc might be power efficient due to better architecture.
