What problem you had with your Nomos?

Not keeping time. Germany does a better job than local states service center

Hmmm, say i am over worry. my worry is actually the sales guys give a replica watch, w a fake omega card or something. Not much chance such from happening,?

Also in case I want to sell, guess the receipt ain't so important right?

Btw, found that PO James Bond version is 19k plus.
Just few hundred over the normal PO. Though no discount. ...
*
1st expensive watch I reckon.
Chances of AD selling super unlikely. Risk taking away rights to be AD. Omega vey strict. Sales must be slow for them.
If the sales person is shady deal with a different person.

If u selling receipt isn't that important esp after the warranty period.
So fast thinking of selling already.

Yes bro, 1st purchase of premium watch. In fact 1st purchase of any leisure item at this price.

"Chances of AD selling super unlikely" u mean they unlikely to sell replica? ...
*
Yes, sorry for the incomplete sentence.

Any opinion on fossil watches? Its look really nice but is that reliable and worth the price? <3 Aiming one of it, the price is around rm700+++
*
Fossil is American brand, however their mech watches are china made.
iirc they using seagull or hangzhou movement.
Reliable - hard to say QC vary.

Even with seagull brand their QC vary a lot I read. Some AD do their QC to ensure customer don't return goods after 3mths.

Today fossil is trying upscale Swiss line

i like the design and etc but then i was told by 1 of my friend for that kind of budget can go for something much more smarter. thats why i am seeing what you guys think...
*
What is much more smarter?
If u like it just buy it, smart or not that's very subjective.
If 40k is just cheap change no need to hesitate just get it, if u are torn sleep on it for a week.

With a budget of below 7k for a brand new watch.
I've notice brands like, Tissot, Oris, Mido, Epos, Edox, Longines, Nomos and maurice (not sure whether in this price range), which one would be a better brand in term of quality and brand heritage (automatic movement)?
*
Nomos get my vote here.
Otherwise try a frederique constant manufacture

Is frederique constant in that price range?
Just found out Mido are in a higher price range.  biggrin.gif

Yeah, i like Nomos as well.
But it seems that it is mostly hand wind.
The auto diameter is a tad bigger for my liking.
Is it available in any retail outlets here?
*
Rm$7k why not?
http://www.gemnation.com/watches/Frederiqu...nt/watches.html

Mido that high? Which model u looking at?
http://www.righttime.com/rt/mido/midowatches.htm

Nomos watches wear big and the bezel is narrow. U get more dial. With your budget cannot find any auto nomos.
At best a nomos club manual at 38.5mm.
Not its glashutte tradition to have 3/4 plate. Auto movent how to show it off?
They don't have AD here, closest is SG even so they don't carry much in stock need to order.

Get a limes

Nomos auto still has the display case back. Just with a rotor. Still looks pretty good. Was looking at the Zurich line.
But size is 39.5mm and price is over budget.

Limes just doesn't sound right. haha
*
Some Ang mo like nomos 35mm as the 37mm looks big.
With regards to display back, I know that and u didn't get the pt, forget it then.

good luck hunting, u got to learn to keep a open mind.

Here is another local online retailer

Kinda noob when it comes to movements, especially non-japanese ones.
1st time looking for a non-jap mechanical watch.
Learning day by day  biggrin.gif

No many talk about jap movement on the seiko thread.
Looks like its more looks than movement.

How is Seiko divers compare with the Seamasters in term of the watch quality itself alone.
*
The lume on seiko maybe better than seamaster.
Finishing on seamaster is better, the coaxial movement and seiko hmmm in terms of reliability hard to say.

Hi guys, what is grey dealer?  most are reliable?
*
Not all, places such as collectorstime.com, thewatchery.com, ashford.com are selling the real thing.
Grey do not offer factory warranty as they are not AD. AD let go of their overstock goods or if close down sell them off to grey
