if I run the company and hav the monopoly I'd be releasing one new product in each year and milk the existing product till dry. After it's for money and you need to look after share holders, not customers... tongue.gif

well, if they release more new designs, they might actually get more sales, hence more profit... provided the new designs are good of course...
that's provided that they sell enough kits to break even and into the profit. Not all new release makes nice profit hence why not milk the old cow... it makes business sense - minimum invest for the maximum profit rclxms.gif

This is my 4th attempt to put Ver. Ka armour onto OYW frame.
This time I'm going the full hog and use entire OYW frame unlike my previous models - while watching Law and Order on the telly. ^ ^

http://img503.imageshack.us/img503/2115/dscn00851ff.jpg

I got the little bit crushed Ver. Ka kit for almost nothing so I grab the semi-finished OYW and stripped it into the frame and start to test fitting the Ver. Ka armour pieces on to it. Yea you need to do some elbow work to get the thing stick on the frame as OYW and Ver. KA use entirely different frames.

Decided to use OYW face in Ver. Ka helmet.

Test fitting Ver. Ka armour onto OYW leg frame.

Done with both feets.

Also done the front and rear skirt plus the groin parts - lower section is pretty much all done now except some minor detailing up.

Currently doing the mixing front and rear skirts as well as putting Ver. Ka groin armours onto OYW frame...
All in all about three hours of playing with parts. tongue.gif

people use the small compressor from freezer and what not...
but unless you are good with that kind of stuff it'd be hassle free to buy one.

I'm bit stuck at the moment with my Ver. Ka project so to take my mind off it I've got started with this Zaku I kit I got from my friend. His young son put this one together - using super glue with pieces ripped straight from runner by hands. @_@ Spend fair bit of time to get things apart so I could clean up where I can. While I'm at it I also mod the hed so I can take the head armour on and off with the frame still attached to the body. This should make painting far easier...

No saying when I will finish this one - coz if I get started Ver. Ka project again this one wil be put on hold indefinately.

mate
it's already there this being MG Zaku I.
I'm doing it using C-style mod - where you can pull apart joints even after glued/painted

WOW... after reading the post, i was shocked... Pulled off the pieces from runner with hands OMG !! i thought the pieces would be totally destroyed, but from your pic it seems the parts are still nice biggrin.gif

But why use superglue  rclxub.gif

This proves that mecha modelling is not for kids tongue.gif

ok small WIP in a while
been busy finishing off other models but finally did some base painting on the frame to cover up the mess I made before - guess time for washing after I put on some future

main point of modification were upgrade on the exposed left leg frame with working cylinder gimmick at the middle and lower section plus the chest hatch to be open all the way down... and replaced the head with optional mechanical head. I do have the helmet modified to be dropped on it though not yet decided on that idea...
