4. What you need in the phone
Screen, really good screen. Good camera quality, sound quality, at least 4" and above for the screen, battery should last for at least half a day with minimal surfing, calling, and music.

HTC one X, one of the best screen. But some units got manufacturing defects, can claim warranty though.
Otherwise, Sony xperia S / SL / ion / acro S.

4. What you need in the phone: any, for my mum as a gift.

actually I want to give her my previous phone, nexus s. but she dont want it coz lack of fm radio n video call.

CSL Star Mi360 (RM360 @ lowyat plaza.) The specs are the same as Galaxy Y, only cheaper and got 5 MP camera. Android 4.0 update coming in December.

Yes, CSL Mi360 has a touchscreen. It's just like the xperia Tipo and the Samsung Galaxy Y, only with dual sim and 5 MP Camera.

video call using telco or what ?
if use telco to video then must samsung android phone, top up and get galaxy s advance
else xperia u (got fm radio, video call via apps like skype, etc ..)

phone will be used mostly for whatapps, taking pictures, and internet browsing. prefer a fast phone that doesnt gets laggy when multitasking or running heavy apps or background with nice animations.

edit: ohya, would prefer a phone with good software update support as well. like upgrade to jellybean and stuff
