Not sure where is the right place to ask about Android tablet, so I will try here.
For RM499, I can buy Asus MemoPad 7".
For the same price or lower, any recommendations for other 7" tablet? Be it China brand as long got warranty and English.

How's it compare to Hyundai X7 @ RM 399?
I think so far one of the best specs below 400 bucks.

I'm also looking for a cheap 7' tablet for my son to use. He will probably want to play alot of games, so looking for a reliable specs to handle this.

So far have come across asus memo 7 and a few ainol tabs such as fire and venus. These tabs are below rm500 from what i saw and is within the budget. From specswize it looks like the ainol venus wins (asus memo > fire > venus), am i right?

Now i'm not sure about this ainol brand. Is it any good? as i think that certain china brands are to be avoided. Is the ainol brand reliable? performance of touchscreen input, screen display etc... or should i go for the more reliable asus brand? which has lower specs.

Or any other brands/models to recommend?

The only China brands to avoid are the ones that make 100% replicas of popular phones. The rest are mostly fine, including Ainol.

Thanks for the feedback. notworthy.gif

Is ainol the most recommended out of the china brands? In terms of reliability and updates?

Tech expo @ midvalley last week.
Free pouch.

I am unsure the reliability of all this China tablet. But as long got warranty and is in English, I am fine to give it a try.
Looking for one at least running jelly bean and decent performance. Camera not important.

He mentioned his budget below RM500.

Surprisingly, I unable to find any seller in LYN here selling Hyundai X7 tablet.
It is indeed looks promising with decent specs and affordable price @RM399 (during tech expo fair).

Yup, budget below rm500 sweat.gif

The x7 does look really value for money and the brand is not too bad itself i think. Too bad it's hard to find seller here in LYN. Anyone that's selling it pls do send me a pm.

So far there are quite a few china brands that are under rm500 with decent specs, around rm400 only, like ainol or pipo. But not too confident on china brands as don't have personal experience with it.

I did test a china samsung s3 sometime ago and the touch response is not good compared to original one. But maybe this is for china imitation brand only? has anyone personally tried or have these china brands (ainol, pipo etc)? what are your comments about it? can convince me hmm.gif

I found this model Ainol Crystal (English edition) @ RM449
http://www.ainovo.my/crystal_spec.php
Specs still lose to x7, but good thing everything is in English.

yup newman N2 very gooding phones in china ftw y u no get xiaomi 2 krait version?

Because of this vid! biggrin.gif --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3a18uhKTbkM

Initially I was torn between these two phones. From a review I read, pictures taken with Xiaomi 2 are more vibrant (which I like) than Newman but after seeing the comparison, I think I would prefer Newman, mainly due to its bigger screen and cheaper price. It's cheaper than Xiaomi I think?

I've seen the specs for both phones but I don't really know how to interpret these info so I rely mainly on video reviews to see how well they work. I don't own a camera so I need a really good camera phone and I don't care for trends so long as I can take good pictures with it, can go online fast fast with my fibre internet (is this even relevant info? blush.gif ) and is around RM1200 then I'll be very very happy. I'm pretty much a retard when it comes to technology so if you have any more recommendations do let me know. I'll then search for the reviews after seeing the recommendations here. I rely mainly on forumers here to help me decide what electronic products to get. That's how I ended up with my Dell 15 purchase (still very happy with it!).
