AirAsia X unit gets nod to operate in Thailand

AirAsia X Bhd (AAX) today announced that its unit Thai AirAsia X Co. Ltd (TAAX) had been given the nod to operate in Thailand.

In a filing today, the low-cost long haul carrier said “the Company wishes to announce that TAAX has officially received the approval from the Department of Civil Aviation of Thailand for the Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) on 3 February 2014.”

It added that with the AOC, TAAX would now commence application for operating permits and slots to its intended international routes.

It said TAAX would lease two Airbus 330-300 from a subsidiary of the Company in its first year of operations.

AAX will hold 49% of the share capital of TAAX.

The carrier also announced that Nadda Buranasiri had been appointed chief executive officer of TAAX.

that's why I wanted to know who are the major shareholders, and how likely they are to let this counter to go down further.  hmm.gif

Is there a chart somewhere that shows where AAX derives it's income from? How is it different from AA apart from one is domestic/regional, the other is international?
*
I'm not sure the current major shareholders. What I can remember are Aero Ventures, AirAsia bhd, Orix ventures & CIMB ventures. these shareholders I not sure still holding or not hmm.gif
