after so many years playing stocks, i have never saw any stock hits the TP set by the research house paper I read. So I have never read any analyst paper since
*
We need to read the IB reports coz they might have some inside / additional information that we Retailers don't know about. Remember only those IB officer are invited from time to time to the company for briefing.

as I said before, those IB research report cannot follow 100%, maybe can take important info / part for our reference nod.gif

Heard either they turned down or got rejected with India route too, wonder why.. They should have decent demand in that country, lookin at the population
*
They pull-out last year due to to high airport costs and travel agent charges nod.gif

What I heard they plan to restart flying to India in the next one to three years time & together "connect" AirAsia India domestic flight.

Indonesian Govt Says AirAsia Long-Haul Permit Still in Works

AirAsia has applied to the government for a permit to launch a new long-haul airline in Indonesia but the Transport Ministry does not expect the license will be released by the end of this year, a senior official said.

“They have indeed applied for a permit and we are still studying the request,” Herry Bakti Singayuda Gumay, the director general for air transportation at the Transportation Ministry, told Investor Daily.

The official in charge of airworthiness and flight operations at the ministry, Muzaffar Ismail, said, however, that it was unlikely that the permit would be granted this year.

“It’s impossible to process the permit this year, because they have to obtain an AOC first,” Muzaffar said, referring to the airworthiness license issued by the government.

Djoko Murjatmodjo, another air-transportation official, said that the application for the license had been submitted before the government issued a moratorium on new airlines.

“They want the permit to be completed this year,” Djoko said. “But it will depend entirely on them meeting the requirements.”

Indonesia AirAsia X must have a single-majority shareholder of at least 51 percent. This stake must be held by an Indonesian national investor.

“For its base, we are not recommending Jakarta because the flight slots for Jakarta are already full,” Djoko said, adding that the airline is planning to use a fleet of Airbus 330.

Indonesia AirAsia X is one of three new airlines currently seeking permits to operate. The two others are Nam Air, a subsidiary of Sriwijaya Air, and Jatayu Air, an old carrier that had its license revoked by the government in 2007 because of safety concerns.

AAX sees 32% passenger increase in Q3

AirAsia X Bhd, the long-haul affiliate of the AirAsia Group, released its operating statistics for the 3rd quarter 2013, showing the number of passengers it carried rose 32% to 843,693 from 637,441 previously.

The airline’s capacity in the period climbed 34% to 1,028,456 from 766,441.

The quarter saw AirAsia X achieve a traffic volume of 4.2 billion revenue-passenger-km (RPK), representing a 30% year-on-year growth. AAX said the improved performance was boosted by higher capacity of 5.1 billion (+32%) available-seat-km (ASK), with passenger load factor at above 82%.

The 32% increase in total number of passengers carried for the quarter was mainly due to its North Asia and Australian routes.

“Cargo operations continue to see promising demand, carrying 8,079 tonnes of freight with 46% load factor level during 3Q13 for its existing routes,” the airline said.

Its operational Airbus A330-300 fleet increased from nine to 14 units.

AirAsia X, which launched two new routes this quarter – namely Busan, Korea on July 15, 2013 and Maldives via Sri Lanka on Sept 28, 2013, expanding its route network to a 17 destinations in nine countries – said it remained focused on the Asia Pacific region.

“We intend to continue to grow our route network in markets where we can maintain or build up to a market leadership position,” the company said.

AirAsia X expects 25 pct growth this year, says CEO

AirAsia X Bhd, the long-haul arm of the AirAsia Group, expects 25 per cent growth this year, via the setting up of Air Asia X Thai — its new investment in Thailand.

Chief Executive Officer Azran Osman Rani said details of AirAsia X's first international hub in Thailand, will be announced soon.

Besides Thailand, Air AirAsia X would look for more joint ventures in North Asia and Australia, he said.

"The joint venture move is among Air Asia X's business strategy for the international market, after its success in Malaysia. Now, we are looking at the international hub, to increase our flight routes," he told reporters, after attending AirAsia X's Super Sixth anniversary at the low-cost carrier terminal, here today.

"Apart from AirAsia X's new operations in Thailand, the forecast growth will also be generated by its seven new planes, which will be delivered next year.

"We are targetting 32 planes in the next three to four years, and in 2014, AirAsia X will receive seven new planes," he said.

The purchase of the new planes would be financed from the proceeds raised from AirAsia X's June listing, he said.

Azran said the other factor that would contribute to AirAsia X's growth would be the timely completion of KLIA2, as the exiting low-cost terminal was unable to cater for heavy air traffic, due to a shortage of parking bays.

"We are looking to move to KLIA2, and hope it will be completed on time next year, KLIA2 will be a tremendous platform for Air Asia X to grow.

"The airline now serves 14 destinations across Asia, Australia and the Middle East," he added.
