you can't ignore aircond services if your aircond still cool, no any weird sound, smell, etc.

BUT....
later if your aircond got problem, not cool, some times cool & some time not, get ready to change some part or new set of aircond (cooling coil@compressor@drier@condenser@evaporator@etc)

will cost you RM 500-1000 or more than that.

Frankly in car aircon sys, there's nothing much 2do so-called "service" wan. Not like hse split aircon.

Except for occasional cleaning of ext condensor coils (brush/spray with water) and int aircon filter (so-called Pollen Filter and/replace xtra paper filter), there's nothing else pne can do w/o involving dismantling & loss of gas.
Eg To clean int cooling coils, need 2dismantle fr sys b4 can clean. Xtra charges wld b incurred ie vacuum, add lube oil @ re-gas!

Need 2change int cooling coil only if got leaks. When dat happens, it juz gonna happen! Frankly cleaning it with chem unnecessarily wld hasten leakage@weld joints.
Prevention by adding xtra paper filter & replacing as/when needed is a better option.
Compressor KO? With enuf gas & no loss of oil (no symptoms of reduced cooling), if time 4comp 2fail, it will fail. Need 2replace with new/recon unit. Me advise new unit 4peace of mind. Done so b4! After 10++ yrs!!
IINM FL (dunno others) not hv sight glass 2view @dryer. Need 2chk gas pressure in sys with meters. Or via reduced cooling power...

yeah, that why we recomended to but cabin paper filter from our YAB

FLX dryer locate just behind front grill/bumper, very hard to reach, to see the dryer, dont know if FLX dryer have glass viewer.

normail air cond service :
-check for gas pressure (bad a/c shop tell u need to topup gas & charge u rm20-30 event your gas in optimum pressure)
-clean/change cabin filter
-dissamble/chemical clean/check for any leakage/re-assemble int cooling coil (but like bro zeone said, clean it with chemical would hasten leakage@weld joints)
-will cost you rm150-250 for normal aircond service, BUT... if any leakage, it's another story+ (some bad aircond shop will always tell u :- your cooling coil "mau rosak", "sudah karat", "sudah nipis" need to change new, or soon it will "bocor", then u need to "bukak semula=lagi mau kena bayar upah")

note : to prevent cooling coil from karat, nipis/terhakis, please but paper cabin filter
lagi noted : if your car already more then 10years old@more 200k millage, then your aircond got problem, it's normal wear n tear.

There's wat is known as Wear & Tear or Ageing of parts in any system. Agreed?
Piping will leak fr time2time; receiver needs changing cos kenot absorb moisture oledi (saturated); corrosion happens to cooling coils (faster in aluminium ones than copper types) and compressors can fail...

If int cooling coil leaks, pls do NOT waste good $$$ 2do re-welding cos other joints gonna leak soon....
Best course of action is 2replace with NEW.
If can afford, change 2a copper coil sys. Costs more but wld last min 5++ yrs!! Main con is slower start-up cooling tho.
Dryer has 2b replaced periodically when it is inefficient in removing moisture fr aircon gas in circulation. Moisture in gas in sys is Worst enemy in aircon sys!

Re sight glass/viewer for Dryer, me & my frenly aircon tech guy searched but NO sight/viewer glass in my FL.
