Pismo? What is that? ahaha ......

1 thing again, How to view or disable the Start Up Items or Running Task? like Windows XP :

Start >> Run >> "msconfig" can on\off startup loading items.

Ctrl + Alt + Del = Task Manager?

Task Manager = (Assuming that you want to quit programs)

Go to Apple Menu and select Force Quit (yes , the force is very strong with this one)

There is a shortcut key too..I still dont get the short cut key right

I'm running Panther on my Powermac G3 300Mhz. Yes u read it right 300Mhz. But i have load up 680MB of RAM. So 10.3.9 run without problem. A bit laggy when open up drive because of slow bus speed. Other wise is ok. But I didnt do work on it, it's my file server at home smile.gif

If you want to run Tiger on ur iBook, disable spotlight & dashboard. load up ur RAM.

on some slower machines the beach ball always comes out because of the spotlight feature as it keeps indexing the drive...

Thanks A Lot everyone smile.gif ,  what the diffrent btween panther and tiger? i still can using MAC OS 9 , when i formatting my HDD? or need to install back OS 9 and X?
*
you can opt to format and install or jus install straight...if the latter is the case your OS9 will just become the classic mode...you won't lose your data...

if you opt to format...you either have to reinstall OS9 for classic mode or just dump in a G5 additional install disc if you can find 1 to reload classic...but might not boot up OS9 or may lose some components if bootable...

but i think a clean install is better...

no, for OS installation u need an Apple Certified CD/DVD-ROM drive. Meaning those OEM drive that come with your mac. If your old drive are giving you problem, try borrow your fren's mac and install from there. Just get a Firewire cable, connect both mac. Restart you mac by holding "T" key. You will see your drive mount on your fren's mac. Proceed the installation by choosing you drive as target.
