You are right on that. We need to regulate gold trading as soon as possible.

However, this will not stop Ponzi schemes coz they can come in many other forms. In the US, there was a case where the Ponzi scheme was conducted by a law firm and they were selling "law settlements" with a 30% gain in 6 - 8 months !

I dont think I will ever see the end to these kind of schemes. As they say just be careful, if an investment is too good to be true, it is most likely not true.

As I said before, there are human were born without that particular logic. They are in fact "retart" for that logic.

You see that - a very interesting human's mind!

The way of their mind works is very different than ordinary one. That I called "retart" to scam logic.

I may earn a Nobel Price for medic if I continue research this subject. I am very eager to open their brain to diagnose the damaged part, and study their missing part in DNA.

I agree that all the Investors who pocked the money in the past should be asked to return, but pity the old retirees.

After reading this thread from version 1 to version 3 I came to the following conclusions

1. Nobody here knows what they are talking about.
2. Everyone trying to sound like an expert on what actually happened but end up sounding like idiots.
3. No one actually interested in the truth. Just want to talk for the sake of talking.

maybe gamen see genneva have a lot of gold, decided to raid them, confiscate the gold and sell them secretly to fund election. then they will claim this gold forever remain as evidence. shit happens in bolehland

Was it FGJAM price or LME price?

Did you feel cheated when you found out that FGJAM price was about 20% above LME price?

We are here to educate non-Genneva members not to join Genneva family.. But be frank, TIME is a factor and also the RATE OF NEW BUYERS is another factor.

Factor: TIME
The longer the authorities holding GM assets, the lesser chance for G to survive.

Factor: RATE OF NEW INVESTORS
The slower rate of new investors investing into this scheme, company will suffer cash flow problems as they have to spend more money to pay HIBAH and commission.

The magnitude of such investments was revealed by Deputy Finance Minister Dr Awang Adek in Parliament yesterday when he said that one company alone, Genneva Malaysia Sdn Bhd, a gold-trading firm that was shut down by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) recently, could have raised RM10 billion from 35,000 investors.

Awang Adek said current investigations into the company has so far accounted for RM4 billion raised from investors.

I remember 40 years ago in the early 1970s the Gemini Chit Fund scandal hit the country. I had actually ‘invested’ in that scheme and made quite a bit of money. I got out just in time, though, before they were closed down and the tail-end investors lost their pants.

Then we had the ‘Pak Man Telo’ Ponzi scheme that first emerged in the late 1970s and ran for about 20 years before the government sprang into action and closed it down. Most of the people caught with their pants down were Malays, a huge number of them rank-and-file police personnel and those from the kampong.

Since the ‘Pak Man Telo’ Ponzi scheme affected mostly Malays it did not become an 'election issue' like the current Genneva gold bullion fiasco. Somehow, anything that affects the Chinese always becomes an election issue. Even giving out white envelopes instead of red envelopes for Chinese New Year can be turned into an election issue. But this would be only if the white envelopes were given to Chinese. If given to Malays then it is not an issue.
