QUOTE(debbierowe @ Dec 6 2012, 09:07 AM) pusing putar twist spin master They take the "not profitable" words from BNM as a way to prosecute Genneva. https://www.facebook.com/notes/genneva-mala...299631276821437 Bank Negara invents a new "violation" Bizarre, ludicrous, stupid, creative. None of these even begin to adequately describe the latest ‘genius’ of Bank Negara (BN). They have created a new violation of the law so that BN can act to prevent that violation and protect the public because nothing else negative appears to have surfaced. So create a new violation: If a company is not profitable, it is a “serious crime” and therefore “we the BN must rush in and seize all the assets so that the public is protected and thus make sure that the directors cannot abscond with the assets.” ==== FYI Pat Lu, you failed english? this post explained everything. but nice one, people kinda buy into it. I think they like to play around with words. This is same thing like they say they are not investor but buyer. The "not profitable" here used by BNM is not meant to say there's law of not profitable. But it just to explain to Genneva buyer that the money they collect from customer (or buyer) is gone and buyer is no longer able to get their gold. This case is like buyer go to Poh Kong, pay RM200 for 1g gold. After money reach Poh Kong hand, RM180 magically disappear. Only RM20 left. Due to that, Poh Kong need to get 10 customer to pay them RM200 only they able to give gold to the first customer. This magic thing will not happen in Poh Kong because Poh Kong need to give gold straight to customer. Only Genneva can do this. That's why it violate BNM law of deposit taking. Conclusion:- Genneva Supporter facebook page full of word twisting and lies. I hope police throw this people to jail. |

Read back some Genneva Director cum GBEAM SG statement. They are really good:-
QUOTE Task force good as gold PETALING JAYA: The task force set up by the Government to regulate gold trading will protect the public. The Gold Bullion Entrepreneurs Association of Malaysia secretary-general, Datuk Joseph Kow, supported the Government's move, saying it was timely to further promote the thriving industry. Kow said the association understood that the Finance Ministry had formed a task force comprising representatives from Bank Negara, Securities Commission, Bursa Malaysia, Companies Commission of Malaysia and the Attorney-General's Chambers to look into the legal framework and mechanism to regulate gold trading to ensure the public's interests were adequately protected. Kow said gold trading was not regulated in Malaysia. “It is a good step towards protecting the interests of the general public and to mature the gold standards in Malaysia. “As gold is a universally accepted currency, buying gold provides a safe haven to hedge against inflation,” he said. He was responding to complaints from some members that their businesses were adversely affected following reports in the media highlighting companies that were put on Bank Negara's Consumer Alert List. Bank Negara has put 77 companies on its alert list for various reasons, including operating without a licence and being involved in unauthorised or unapproved activities. He said the Royal Malaysian Customs had also sent out letters confirming that monetary and non-monetary gold were exempted from import, export as well as sales and excise duties. However, it was important for gold traders to observe the Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorism Financing Act, and Banking and Financial Institutions Act, he said. Kow said the association organised quarterly talks to educate its 6,719 members on the two laws. The association also holds talks and exhibitions to raise public awareness on the importance of gold to hedge against inflation. He said gold was proven as a rising commodity, as the price had increased from US$280 (RM896) an ounce a decade ago, to the current US$1,600 (RM5,120) an ounce. To educate the public further, the association wished to state that the retail price of gold usually hovered between 22% and 25% over the cost price, which covered various costs such as labour, operations and currency adjustment, he said. |

LOL u really know a lot about himHe will hogwash you with his theory of how to offset your housing loan with insurance cash value, but fail to mention the insurance premiums you pay can be better use to offset your loan interest. QUOTE(Salvador_Dali @ Jan 11 2013, 02:15 PM) Isn't it ironic that the meeting did took place and BNM spilled all these juicy info GMS never reported it and in GMS, they accused main stream media of being selective in choosing what to publish and what not to. The only reason they do that is because they are part of it.I believe there is a word for it - hypocrite. |
