btw, i'm now using coolstore's Yagi antenna, just now i reposition to get the optimum spot..here's a simple comparison,
Without Yagi: RSSI - 77dbm With Yagi: RSSI - 57dbm Regarding the speed, both not much difference..LOL..improvement of 20db but no significant jump in speed..my Simcard problem or Tower problem? |

after setting up my antenna, my RSSI drop from -99 to -77
and when using with my router, the signal percentage from 41%, go up to 67%.......really am satisfied with the product ^^ ______________________________________________________________________________________________ but just after i received the antenna, the signal tower near my house seems to have a problem, test using speedtest can only get download around 3mbps; usually around 10mbps.... and transfer rate can get around 800kbps only x.x' This post has been edited by heLL[tuRt]: Nov 13 2012, 12:03 PM |

definately a good buy if your signal is > -85dBm like mine i have another Patch Antenna bought from another forumer, but that one sucks, maybe quality is different. Yes, cable quality from Blacktubi is much better and cum with Huawei/ZTE connnectors too No Router, just plain raw plug-in , on a E1762 only

Received item and tested.
rssi - 99dbm rat - hspa+ antenna - indoor only modem - huawei k4505 tx tweak - 23 gain more signal than before. stable in connection. Speed is my concern rite now. But anyone can help me what is the best firmware and dashboard for k4505. I thing got something wrong with this modem. |

ok after few days testing, here is the review:
1. in door without antenna : 93dbm with antenna pointing to the tower: 88 dbm 2. out door without antenna : 85 dbm with antenna pointing to the tower: 73 dbm 3. high ground (roof top, i stay at single storey house) without antenna :69 dbm with antenna pointing to the tower:58 dbm tips: 1. you really really really need to know where is the tower really are. 2. good signal =/= high speed. 3. you need a laptop with mdma and walk around to check on the signal like feng shui master pros: 1. the antenna is light and easy setup 2. 2 meter cable is just nice 3. seller provide ultra good after sales service cons: 1. the cable is hard to bend, the connector isnt easy to mount, need more effort on the cable mamagement. 2. seller sometime busy to contact 3. again, good signal doesnt mean good speed. and one more thing: seller will tell you where is the tower located at your area. just pm him and pray for his reply. what i can said, panel very usefull for me.
after checking with blacktubi, he said that no maxis tower at my current place now. then i call maxis to double comfirm it, cs told me that only hav 1 tower at my current place. so with only 1 tower,with only support 3G signal...very bad signal + stability + speed drop after applying the panel antenna, my speed more stability and can get 3Mbps IDM speed. but,huhu...when i do ping + downloading..i get higher ping time... like screenshort below. can someone explain to me?

Hi,
First, I'm using Celcom Broadband. At my area, there is no 3G line just EDGE. I emailed Celcom about this problem then, they called me. (So weird, Maxis got strong signal here) They told me that in my area they have one 3G tower. They said they have reset the tower and told me to try the connection again. I tried and still no 3G just EDGE. If I buy this antenna, can I get the 3G signal? And I also dont know where is the tower. I'm using E367 btw. |

Great seller.
Received my modem today.Before using the antenna my MDMA reading was -99dBi, and with an average speed of 1.5MB. After installing the antenna,my dBi drops to -79,-81,-85,-89. I tested on various on places and those different numbers is a good sign that ensures the device working and catching up signal significantly from different angle. Currently left it on my window now cause I don't have much time to mount the device at the moment. Quick result are -89dBi which is -10dBi than the previous (my area are very bad). Speedtest shows and average speed of 3.9MB to 4.5MB now.(Before it was like 1.5MB).Most probably much faster during the night. Ping around 40,42,43. Thank you. p/s: I still want an advice/tips on placement if any. |

..as promised.. without antenna this one dont trust the ping lol becoz not stable 1..this is the only time i got 38 & other than that 100-200 not stable and also speed not stable at all.. 
with antenna the ping stable within 40-60 ..speed also stable @ 3mbps++ which is really fast (but cant get the fiber a like connection) haha..but my connection stable & boost up already..yeah~

I have already received the panel today. I try to make some reviews here.
I am using Umobile broadband and also maxis mobile internet. This is Umobile without antenna:  and this is Umobile with antenna:  This is maxis without antenna: (Can you imagine how suffer i was, and how many times i shoot maxis lol.)  and maxis with antenna:  I will try to make more review about stability after few days testing. Right now i am super satisfy with the performance. Thank you so much. |

yeah just received the item......L shape connector is way better than previous one. cant blame on TS, i never expect the cable are so strong and heavy and difficult to bend.

below experiment is using the setup of : Panel antenna ( from blacktubi ) + CRC9 pigtail cable convertor + E372 huawei set ( handicapped added heatsink with cover open ) + TL-MR3420 V2 + TL-MR3420 V1 setup photo : [attachmentid=3192178] Speedtest : [attachmentid=3192180] IDM Speed ( between 1.67~1.75MB/s ) [attachmentid=3192183] Signal % on V2 TL-MR3420 [attachmentid=3192184] CRC9 pigtail : [attachmentid=3192186] Conclusion: after adding the pigtail CRC9 convertor, finally my both E372 ( handicapped maxis set + normal Huawei set ) is perform on same par with my ZTE MF680,.. as in IDM, speedtest, uploading file speed, ping and loading websites speed.. the solid of this pigtail drag practically dragging the E372 + V2 router together,. super tight and yeah no more cable dragging the E372 external antenna hole downwards issue anymore !! I just got back to hometown first time since I got the panel. I found the right spot in the house and installed it there. This is what I got:

After Tweaking whole day yesterday and day before
finally found a New Best direction spot,.. from old spot signal 87% increase to 93% now in new direction spot setup ( up side down the panel )[attachmentid=3198519] signal now [attachmentid=3198437] and result speed in midnight hour  in day time now  Making huge different for sure, so people, keep finding best spot for your panel,. here's my testimonial on blacktubi's panel antenna..the result is amazing
E372 (Direct USB plugin) + Panel Antenna (without tweaking direction) = 100% signal (MDMA) 
didn't managed to take screenshot of MR3420 signal strength, but the signal % in MR3420 is 96% wah..now i can't imagine if use E398 with double antennas..beyond 100% signal dy..haha This post has been edited by taaron: Dec 12 2012, 12:30 AM |

after a week with this antenna and MF680...
with antenna -speed double at mid night and >50% stability increase-->very constant to say dowload speed graph like the stress strain graph -without antenna will facing disconnection sometimes and download speed graph like durian.  some day in last week few test before post  -day time more stable and at least >2Mbps in speed test everytime 3 - 4Mbps most of the time. without antenna 0.8<download speed<3Mbps during test mostly. seriously thks to blacktubi for his goods... i'm always get RSSI at -80 to -100dBm, sometimes drop to EDGE. Which kind of antenna able resolve this issue? Is Sierra aircard 312u need 2 antenna to boosting signal?

Hmm, but my download speed is cut by 50% also... usually will be 2.8mbps to 3.2mbps now only 1mbps to 1.4mbps..... anyone know why?

maybe la.... how do i force connect to the cell.... i move slowly the panel also the same(outside).... its not locking.... i hang the panel inside my house(where i usually hang my soya box antenna) it did lock to the cell(MDMA).....
but signal with panel drop la(no longer 100) 80 plus - download speed not fast la(max 900+kbps)..... so i remove everything and use back my soya box antenna.... 3 mbps speed - signal strength 61 % - .... no speed test was used for this exercise only IDM - tomorrow will try the other side of the House.... probably its just my apartment shape/design ---- i dun know la..... i really want this to work for me.... Added on December 19, 2012, 9:34 pmand i also use open signal application to locate the cell location and point the panel that direction from my balcony... still no luck.... Here my speed using panel antenna..
 my setup e372+panel antenna+MR3420 before using antenna i get speed araound 10-11mbps.. signal strength from 39% increase to 61%. I live at apartment. Located at ground floor.. so many blok block my signal..hehe This post has been edited by bosol: Dec 20 2012, 09:23 PM |
