your area only have 1 single congested tower ?  hmm.gif

I have no idea. I believe no because my house area doesn't have a lot of population. I saw about 1km away there is a maxis tower but do not sure whether it has 3G/H because it is there since years ago.

But i can easily get 1-2mbps if i can get stable connection, but usually can't get it.

Another off topic:
If i use better modem, example the 42mbps modem, will i get stable/better connection compare with the 7.2mbps?

wow your speed are awful without the antenna....where you stay? where is the telco tower?

I live in Ipoh. But my house area is the last housing resident, and after that there is about 2km no more houses and almost no building. That's why no telco willing to build new tower for us. Neareast tower is about 1.2km away from me.
I complaint maxis many times until finally to SKMM, and i said if maxis still don't solve my problem, i will sue them in TTPM.
Finally maxis still doesn't willing to improve the signal, but they refunded me for the past 8 months bill, and rebates my data plan for 50% until my maxis contract end, which is about nearly RM700 to me.

Umobile was good when i signed up. Usually get about 1.5mbps without antenna. But they also getting worse for last 2 months. Now drop to average 400kbps.

Digi has no 3G at all, but seem like upgraded since last month, but i can't confirm because no Digi sims card, also no interested on them.

Celcom is full coverage but i also no interested.

I was actually planning to install the Yagi before, but it seems so complicated because need aim to the direction.
Ya i am very happy right now, and i am planning to get the 42mbps modem, hope it can double boosts my speed.
I just worry on the stability now, but i guess that is not big problem.

Very nice to find a good spot.
Too bad i can't because my house design doesn't allow me to put any other place.
But my signal increase from -111 to -87.
I can reach my speed to 6-7mbps now.
