i don't know why the signal strength is become low these few days. My earlier setting can capture up to 87% of signal but now the rate is dropped until 67%. I have to use sifu Chuah's method, i.e. use the soya case to put in front of the antenna then only now able to get 77%..however, this strength is still uncertain.

Probably Maxis is tweaking LTE for your location

The antenna is no moving parts which it shouldn't degrade in such short period of even 10 years

You can always ring Maxis for verification

However, the speed is still fantastic with antenna..

which one is better? the yagi antenna or the dual band antenna?

Got my antenna ytd so time for a quick review.
No pictures cause lazy

Test equipment:
DLink DWM156 7.2mbps modem
Huawei E398 also sold by TS
MR3420
Panel antenna sold by TS
Y-USB cable
Maxis WBB, supposedly up to 42mbps
100mb test file

1. Dlink DWM156 (does not support ext antenna)
Signal as per MR3420: 55% (HSDPA only boo )
Speedtest: 0.8mbps - 1mbps (WTF!)
Actual download speed: No idea. Gave up after seeing speedtest

2. E398 w/o antenna
Signal as per MR3420: 67%
Speedtest: 2-3 mbps (DC-HSPA+)
Actual download speed: est 380kbps

3. E398 w. antenna (with random aiming)
Signal as per MR3420: 80% to 90% (DC-HSPA+)
Speedtest: 4-6 mbps (6mbps with a bit of aiming)
Actual download speed: 500-600kbps

All in all a really good product:)

Just need to spend sometime aiming the antenna and it'll produce some noticeable speed increase despite too many people congesting the test area.

In a less congested area, E398 alone, speedtest went up to 14mbps:)

Both great products from TS and are highly recommended

Now just need to find a way to mount it without drilling holes in the wall

im not any stalker or etc..i just helping blacktubi...he selling E398 in K5005 case...which is VERY GOOD MODEM..and very good for people that get -9Xdbm because this modem is like an antenna...the internal antenna is too strong
