Anyone here already root the device and using CM 10.1?, any drawback? Any issue?

Did CM 10.1 solved the reboot / hang issue? or better or worst?

Finish rooting my Nexus 10. Do Nandroid now, gonna install CM 10.1 shortly.

For those haven't received, if the device random freeze or reboot is common. This is Android issue, all device (nexus 4, 7 and 10) running v4.2.1 facing this issue.

Some said CM 10.1 fix it, I still not so sure yet as just done install. Will report after a while, probably tomorrow.

i m still on stock rom n franco kernel, not much time to play since i got it 2 weeks ago. mine is from Shirogawa.

reason for rooting, main ones.....custom recovery n nandroid backup

2nd tiers (root only apps) =P .........removing annoying ads with AdAway, Stickmount for auto mount OTG Usb drive, freezing and removing some apps, Wifi Protector immunity =P etc etc

3rd......for education and prank purposes =P.....WifiKill, Faceniff, dsploit, Droidsniff.......i just love wifikill apple device =P


For those of you still finding screen protector, i recommend using kristall screen coating, just applied mine 2 days ago...i get it from gigaleon....tablet version......can feel the screen is very smooth to the touch and excellent resistant to finger prints......

Finally my Google Nexus 10 is root & running CM 10.1 + Franco Kernel.

What I seen so far:
- Better customization.
- Extra added functionality.
- Smooth experience.
- Fixing the auto brightness issue.
- Hanging issue still there, but seems much better.

EDIT: I dislike KTManta kernel, switch to Franco now.

Ya, Wugfresh Nexus Root Toolkit was just too awesome and easier.

Actually I just getting it on 27/January/2013. I just using it 3 days +, haha.

I also using Franco kernel now. So far awesome.

Just uninstall all Google Chrome!!!

CM 10.1 native browser perform much smoother and better!

Yalo! Damn busy on it.

I did not tweak much on Franco beside changing I/O to noop as I find it much smooth.

CM 10.1 also solving WiFi issue. It connect nicely at weak WiFi signal. So happy now.

mine was rooted the 2nd day i got the device.. but everything else is stock now.
Hm... i wonder is there anyway to sideload the stock android browser to nexus10... haven't got time to google it...

I believe can just direct take out from CM 10.1 (or the android gapps) and push in or install.

I never faced such issues so stated by you ( OS 4.2.1) at all on Nexus 4 ( used it coming 1 month already ) and Nexus 7 ( 6 months already)
