QUOTE(AlexLai @ Oct 31 2012, 01:21 AM) That's just device cost. You forgot to factor in sales tax and shipping as well. In the US, all prices are quoted before tax. In total you're looking at about $330 for the 8GB version and $375-380 for the 16GB one. hey bro do you have any idea how do they calculate sales tax in US? I am living in UK now, it is retailing at google play stall at £239/279 respectively (VAT included, UK tax whooping of 25% VAT) I have friend flying to the states in Dec, wondering if it's better to ask to buy in the states instead.. on a side note: Nexus 7 16g / 32 g / LTE is £159 / 199 / 239 respectively Nexus 10 16GB / 32GB is £319 / 389 Crazy expensive UK price.. Our sales tax is dependent on the state. Over in Nebraska it's about 6-7% with a possible extra 2% more of the total sales value for an item including other service charges like shipping. So assuming I'm getting a $200 phone and having it shipped to me with a $15 shipping charge. i'm paying ($200+$15) x 106/100 ~ $227

QUOTE(dust @ Nov 1 2012, 10:57 AM) the next wave of discussion will be upon the arrival of N4. Based on news from LG Indonesia, they said Nexus 4 is confirmed to be arriving there by the end of November. If Indonesia gets it by then why not us right?

If the price isn't like the Nexus 7 sold here which has similar price like its UK counterpart, it's definitely gonna be a hotcake. Anyway, I'm just wondering if anybody is using NAS storage to complement their smartphones here. 16GB Nexus 4 is somewhat enough if you don't stock it up with music & videos. Since these can be streamed via a NAS I think it's still pretty much a good choice.

In LA, State tax abt 9% so 250+25+8(e-waste tax) x 3.1 =rm877. Not much profit since local price is rm950
