QUOTE(mafioso @ Nov 17 2012, 11:48 AM) if its the first time you flash jellybam, you should perform a full wipe. ooo...ok2..i get it..jellybean from aokp with jellybean official got any different ka?but make sure you backup all necessary files first.. especially sms and whatsapp folder. for contacts you can sync with google. you have to perform a full wipe whenever you jump to a different ROM. Added on November 17, 2012, 12:33 pm bro. lol just saw their fb.. its for the next release. i meant the scalendar and planner. |

QUOTE(mafioso @ Nov 18 2012, 02:27 AM) AOKP = Android Open Kang Project ooo.thanks for the info... CM = CyanogenMod AOSP = Android Open Source Project all 3 are different builds with different custom "special" features. but i recommend jellybam because you can try all 3 builds. so there's no point to jump around other ROMS as they're most likely the same. if you want to update, dont update tonight as i've been following, they'll most likely release a new update in a day or 2. so dont waste effort in setting up first. |

JUMPING to a different rom -> yes its required to do a full wipe 2. UPDATING the same rom with new version -> not necessary, unless stated by the dev. but most of the time there's no need to wipe... just wipe cache and dalvik cache. anyway, thats most of the stuff i did for my phone. im a minimalistic person. so yea |

QUOTE(mafioso @ Nov 18 2012, 10:36 AM) last thing... as requested i'm trying to port a patchset from cyanogenmod team introduced by paranoid android: "Clear all" button on recent apps Ported from ParanoidAndroid by zigackly: https://github.com/ParanoidAndroid/android_...8fa78a8d4f9a8dd Add button to tablet layout ported from Codename Android by zigackly: https://github.com /CNA/android_frameworks_base/commit/8d259fe3588c261baa5a17c361255cf28cc82bfe Patch set 2: Make the layout consistent, with the button at the top right. Patch set 3: Remove the redundant use of removeTask() Patch set 4: Top right layout does not work in tablet mode: make it top left for tablets only. Patch set 5: Different implementation (No need to keep track of views) - Danesh M Patch set 6: Top left layout no longer works for tablet mode with new implementation. Make it bottom left for tablets only. next update looks very promising.. plus got s3 apps ported into it! |

QUOTE(mafioso @ Nov 18 2012, 05:56 PM) i use paranoid settings -> interface -> set status bar dpi to 172. haha next time put on the link on dropbox la..so we can share then i flashed the modified play store so that i supports any DPI inbstead of 160,240,320. CM's toggles -> max can go 6 AOKP toggles -> follows DPI, the smaller you make it, the more toggles you can see. Added on November 18, 2012, 6:01 pm okay. i found it on XDA anyway.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1771463 there's a new version somewhere. but the link is in my office. :S home laptop dont have because i downloaded it in my office. |
