dont know.. somehow i've been using paranoid and jellybam..
both threads, 80% of users recommend dorimanx because it has great battery life..

so i just use, somehow slightly better than CM10, but im a heavy user. :S

make sure backup everything first
including sms and whatsapp folder
and contacts she can sync with google..
and copy whatever necessary files over to the desktop just in case..

no offense but you know how girls are.
not many of them are tech savvy..
so its best to avoid problems..

later you kepala letup only finding ways to restore deleted files instead.

just flash and wait a few days.. let the phone be for a few days..
first few days sure you'll see a shyteload of battery drain..
because the kernel needs time to "calibrate" your battery and your usage.

is your phone on ICS?
if it is, use this to root instead.. its universal.

download the zip file and go into your recovery..

wipe cache and dalvik cache then flash.

what do you mean? sms or t9 dialer..

i think so. LOL. i just know non g has it.

try searching under your section lo..
read reviews.. maybe for G there's a better kernel made by better devs.

then go into settings and untick "Ringer and alert linking"

cannot unlink ringer and notification volumes..
and CRT effect, but mine dont have problem, mtxx.. 

aokp rom dont have screen time out toggle.
and dont have function to vibrate when people answer phone call.
and aokp notification toggle only can see 6, and ugly.

thats why i use cm.
