Good morning guys, I just updated my firmware via KIES few days ago to the Malaysia 4.0.4.

Now I'm thinking to root my SGS2 since the warranty period is over, but there is something that hold me back after I did some reading from the xda forum.

4.0.4 stock kernel might brick SGS2, does this mean if I intend to root my SGS2, it will hardbrick my phone?

Can I flash to Siyah kernel without having my SGS2 rooted? Or it is a must to root in order to flash other kernel?

I've already download the CF-Root-SGS2_XW_OXI_LPF-v5.5-CWM5.zip from here. Just wondering is this the correct file I'm choosing to root my SGS2?

My intention to root the SGS2 is because I wanted to be able to mod the battery icon , enable the Google Map Navigation, remove some ads and also bloatware from Samsung. At the moment, I will not into the custom rom cause I'm still a noob, so just will stay in stock rom. Therefore I need to clarify few things before I really proceed it.

1. Does the USB JIG still able to remove the Yellow Triangle and reset the Binary counter in ICS?

2. Will I still able to get firmware updates from OTA or KIES if I rooted my SGS2 with stock rom?

3. What are the apps that can be use to remove the bloatware? Does the Titanium Backup free version able to do so?
I will attach a pic of my SGS2 info in case I missed out some of the important info that is needed.
I hope that sifus here can help out a newbie here.

For no reason the battery of my I9100G suddenly drained out.. Even on charging, battery remains at 1%..
Factory reset yet still no change.. so is it battery problem?

My CM10 4.1.2 is still the old Gapps. Do i need to flash the new Gapps?

i have some problem here.. just rooted my i9100G..
the problem is i accidently block my clock apps with gemini app manager (i confused with the clock widget )
and now it refused to unblock .. how can i get the clock app back in my phone??

on gemini app manager it says noting when i try to unblock it.. it like no action at all..
than i tried on titanium backup to unfreeze it.. it says "clock has been defrosted and available again on your system" but still i dont have the app on my menu list..
i checked use root explorer and its there.. when i tap on it and click install it says "application not installed"

CM10 is general for lots of device. That mod is probably for devices with navigation bar.

hi guys, i am currently having a wifi issue. My phone's wifi is freeze. the display keep saying turning on wifi but never turned on. Same goes to the notification widget, it become dark green instead of light green.

any solutions to this? been trying few solutions but to no avail.

i try to flash PA with JB, also same results.

successfully migrate to jelly bean cm10 nightly.. 

but i do have question.. how to remove/uninstall widget from phone??
so many widget that i dont and will not use..

Should be can mar. Maybe you need to call your bank to activate it for buying online.
