Just got Note II Titanium Grey from Maxis. Since it is using Corning Gorilla Glass 2, I'm wondering why people still want to put a screen protector?

That was my point, the Gorilla Glass 2 is scratchless, so why one must put a screen protector ? As for the back protection I can understand why but putting a screen protector on a Gorilla Glass does not make any sense.

Gorilla glass is not scratch proof. Get your facts straight. It just have high resistant. Common material like sand can still scratch it.

hi long time no see, best not to restore system data, since you're not only jumping android version but different rom also, but i think those green coloured ones like sms can restore la. it is always recommended to do full wipe
