Sell off your wrt54g ver5 at lelong/lowyat & get yourself the wrt54gs v4 price range from RM250 to RM340 (serious there is a shop in lowyat selling at RM340 !! ) |

sanosizo, if u r using firmware version 23 final,

i have been bt for a long time using USB Wi-Fi link to WRT54GSv4+Alcatel Speedtouch Pro ADSL Modem. 24x7 never off & no hang

PRINZE, WRTSL54GS v1 is diffrent from WRT54GS coz it support external USB Storage out of the box

Indecided, I have been using the WRT54GS v4 SP1 Final without any problem 24x7 wi-fi using my PC (BT) . My notebook have no problem going online.
TX set to 70 all the time & no extra cooling The best part is i can even connected to my Access Point even i am 300 meters away from my House , of coz line of sight This post has been edited by ldragon: Jul 13 2006, 10:03 PM |

I did't face any wireless issue. Using the WRT54GSv4 DD-WRT v23 SP1 Final + 4 units of Laptop (Wi-Fi) & Desktop (Wi-Fi). Desktop is 24x7 (BT) + 2 wired PCs + 1 Wired Print Server

rattan, Instead of buying WRT54G ver 5 why not go for WRT54GL (RM200 ~ 250) have more memory & easier to upgrade with 3rd party firmware.

ZONX, use the wrt54g_std (complete with all the features) will do the job. mini is u want to save some rams for more custom plug-ins.
