Got my unit from Newegg a few weeks ago. the 32gb one. Loving this device cos it's so smooth and games don't crash or lag (or have not, touch wood) unlike my mom's iPad. The size is just right for most things ie. gaming with both hands, videos, music & surfing. So lightweight too!

My only grievances are:
- screen resolution not as sharp as I would expect of a 7" these days.
- setting up wallpapers is a pain (have to use an app to crop the wallpapers first).

I had to buy a cover cos it got scratched when I put it in my bag.  Bought this standard one, which has the magnetic smart cover feature so that's pretty good. http://www.ebay.com.my/itm/Viridian-Green-...=item43b55a19de.
And to someone who earlier mentioned bout this device not having physical buttons - YES, I AGREE. Quite a bit of a pain. Matter of getting used to, I guess.

Can i install back stock recovery? Right now im using twrp.

hi guys,i'm new here and i'm having a big problem with my nexus 7...
i bought my nexus 7 from "senheng" roughly more than a month ago..i was pretty satisfied with it until recently all the bugs and defects are starting to annoy me A LOT...
1) sometimes the touch screen is not responsive.i try pulling down the notification tray but it doesnt get pull down..
2) they are black lines on the screen sometimes when playing games or surfing facebook..it does happened quite often although it only appears for a split second.
3) this is the worst defect of all.sometimes the tablet acts on it's own,it's like it's having a mind of it's own.it would just jump back to the homescreen, swipe around and open up apps on it's own when i'm actually using the tablet.Basically it's like a ghost is using the tablet. So i try to find the cause of this problem and i'hv found than whenever i try to swipe around really quick the tablet will become not responsive for a while and it'll start acting on it's own, so i feel that there's a problem with the touch screen panel.

I went back to "senheng" the other day, hoping that they would replace a new tablet for me but they refuse to, so most probably i'm going to ring up ASUS tomorrow to report about my problems and hope that they would replace a new unit. My main problem is the 3rd, i can live with the other two but the 3rd one is seriously bugging me.

Is anyone having the same problem as me? If so, what did u do to solve it?

p/s : i'm on stock 4.2 rooted...

how can wet finger cause the touch screen to act on it's own? i feel it's a problem with the touch screen panel…
i dont use any cleaning agent…and i didnt change my screen protector also…yup i tried charging with my samsung charger…no luck…

yes, i select whole device to detect....n i also using original TB (bought it using the fre USD25).

i tried to uninstall 2 to 3 times, n reinstall, no difference @@

so wat shud i do now T.T

to add on, i tried to backup a few new apps, n i cant c the TB folder inside my N7, but after i restart, i can c the folder, but i cant c the files inside, but the "restore apps+ data" got show the file to restore @@

Noticed that there are 4 codec packs downloadable for MX Player; i.e. AMRv6, ARMv6 VFP, ARMv7 and ARMv7 NEON. Which pack is for Nexus7?

Try diceplayer.i use that apps for movie in my galaxy nexus n nexus 7 for s/w decode..run very smooth...

Ooo... but i prefer diceplayer for s/w decoding run very smooth.sumore it does have pop-up play too.so i dun need to dl another apps for popup play

Err...i only know samsung devices with Exynos chip is can run perfectly watever movie,gif,pic format u trow in,no need any different apps either h/w or s/w to decode.thats the power from samsung very own exynos SoC.tegra3 is abit overrated.

Ah okies.. Still pretty new to android so I got the tendency to compare the battery life to Symbian. Those Nokia phones really can last.

Pretty paranoid since this is my first android and with all the complaints on other forums on the N7's battery
